My twin brother and I chose The Hamilton for lunch to celebrate our birthday, and it was an outstanding experience. The atmosphere was welcoming, the food was beautifully prepared, and every dish we tried was flavorful and satisfying. What truly elevated our visit was the exceptional service. CJ, the manager, ensured everything ran smoothly and made us feel genuinely valued, while Emma from the crew was attentive, friendly, and professional throughout our meal. Their hospitality turned a lovely lunch into a memorable celebration. We had a fantastic experience and would highly recommend The Hamilton to anyone looking for great food and excellent service.

Hamilton Restaurant in D.C. is a consistently great spot that delivers on food, drinks, and atmosphere. It’s one of those places that works just as well for a casual meal as it does for meeting friends or out-of-town guests.
The menu is extensive and well-executed, with something for everyone, and everything is prepared with care and solid flavor. Portions are generous, quality is reliable, and the dishes strike a nice balance between comfort and polish.
The drink selection is excellent, and the space itself is lively without feeling chaotic — energetic, classic D.C. vibes with professional, attentive service.
Overall, Hamilton is a dependable favorite in the city: good food, good drinks, great location, and an atmosphere that always feels right. A solid choice anytime you’re downtown.

The food is great but let’s talk about the music venue. This place is what those of us who are 45+ and used to go to the 930 club need. It has food, it has service, it has tables and CHAIRS. Don’t get me wrong we still stand to dance and carry on but to have the option to sit, sip our drinks *that get brought to us* and eat chicken wings in the process is just next level civilized. The vibe is speak-easy and super chill. The service can be a bit slow, but honey, I got a chair, so just bring me two at a time.

This deserves better than its current rating! Having tried Old Ebbit’s and Joe’s last trip to DC, tried Hamilton post-show and was I glad. The decor was warm and nice, service was attentive and friendly and good note was made of my son’s nut allergy and food properly marked safe. The dishes were top notch and it was hard to agree which was best amongst pork chop, lobster pasta and short rib/meatball rigatoni. The sides were all well executed and desserts of apple tart and chocolate bread pudding polished off happily. We also like the bird theme and all the bird art work!

Took my European family here for lunch after walking the mall for a few hours. The lobster roll was stuffed filled with lobsters in a delicious brioche bun. Accompanied by crunchy fries, and homemade coleslaw. This was a perfect pick me up. My dad had the lobster pasta. The crustaceans were juicy, and they didn’t skimp on the meat. I didn’t get a photo of the octopus ink colored linguine with fruit di mare but my nephew confirmed that it was absolutely delicious. Our server was pretty busy during the lunchtime rush. We thoroughly enjoyed it though. Definitely a great spot to take out of towners.

The Hamilton is a classic and iconic spot in Washington, D.C. It is a large venue with a traditional feel and consistently good service. The food is solid and straightforward, bistro style, not elaborate or overly sophisticated. It is functional, well executed, and reasonably priced, with nothing unusual or pretentious. One of its strengths is the live entertainment, with an active events calendar and concerts hosted inside the venue. The architecture and interior atmosphere stand out, with warm lighting, extensive wood finishes, and a welcoming, comfortable ambiance. It is an interesting place with character, good service, and no pretensions. Definitely recommended.

The atmosphere was great, relaxed and Upscale. The food was well cooked but flavorless. Me and my partner felt the food lacked flavor. Our server Zach was awesome and accommodating. The location is great, near the Warner Theater but we agreed we wouldn’t return due to the lack of flavor. She got the pork chops and I got the chicken . Both well cooked but could’ve used some seasoning. The same with my miso soup, bland.

Delicious, AMAZINGLY DELICIOUS!! A little more pricey than some other local places, but the food and drinks are incredible, The Long Island ice tea had top shelf liquor, tasted great and so strong. The octopus was so tender; people cheese cake was subtle and extremely smooth. Mmmmmm. Crabcake Sandwich was so good, too.

The Hamilton is a classic when in downtown DC that you should not miss. From American to Sushi, beautiful drinks and atmosphere. I love getting the bento box or Eggs Benedict. Pastas are delicious and burgers too. If you have room for dessert, try APPLE GALETTE, mmm amazing! No wait BUT Make sure you book a table before going!

We came here expecting a long wait time given the reviews and being a Friday night, but we were quickly seated and with some amazing service. It was surprisingly very child friendly and the food and atmosphere was amazing. This was out first time in DC and definitely a must try place. We would highly recommend visiting and will be back!
