I’ve been to this location twice and as much as I wanted to love it for the convenience of how close it is. The food quality is subpar compared to the Hollywood location. Staff was nice but confused about happy hour days and times.
I love the location, aesthetic, as well as service at this location, just wish the food was better. They also don’t mirror all the same specials as the other location so be sure to call prior to arrival if you are dining in.

Love the art on the wall! Very clean place. The ladies are pretty nice and attentive. Food could be better for the cost. Fish was a bit over fried but Overall nice experience.

Great experience: Service, food and ambiance top tier. I had their lunch special, but it looks like a great evening venue, too. Highly recommend this place for either dine in or take out. It looks they thought of every detail for the customer experience, including the big bootie friendly bar stools (lol). I’ll be back.

Went here to celebrate a friend’s birthday, and I really enjoyed two of my dishes. The Lambi Cocktail was good, and the Lalo with White Rice and Sòs Pwa Nwa was good. My only recommendation is improving the service. It would help if staff listened more closely to what guests ask for and communicated upfront if something can’t be accommodated before it’s served.

I arrived at the restaurant at 8:45 PM, and my server took a very long time to even come take our order. After that, she did not return to our table until around 9:15 PM. The restaurant was not busy there were only about nine tables occupied so there was really no excuse for the lack of attention. The customer service was extremely disappointing. She never came back to check on us to make sure everything was okay. We repeatedly asked for water and napkins, and they were never brought out. I even ordered water at the same time as my drink, and it still never came. When our appetizer arrived, I had to ask for plates, and it took about eight minutes for her to finally bring them back. We had to call other servers multiple times just to get basic assistance.
When the drinks came out, they were terrible. I ordered a Blue Long Island and was brought a Mojito instead. The drinks were overly sweet and not made correctly, and I had to ask another server to fix them because our actual server was nowhere to be found. I did not catch the young lady’s name, but she was tall light skin and even though she was not our server, she stepped in and helped us she was the only one who showed any real effort.
The food was just as disappointing. Everything was overly salty, the turkey in the sauce came out cold, and the rice was cold as well. The only thing that was actually good was the grilled plantain appetizer. We spent $160, and the experience did not reflect that price at all. On top of everything, the restroom was not working. It makes no sense to run a restaurant without a functioning bathroom for guests.
No manager came to check on us or do any table touches. As a server myself, I understand how customer service works, and this was unacceptable. This was my first time at this Oakland Park location because the Hollywood location was closed, and I can honestly say I will never return to this one. The Hollywood location has always been consistent with great service and hot food, but this location was the complete opposite. Extremely disappointing.
