Visited Vertigo at Banyan Tree Bangkok and had an incredible evening! We started on the rooftop (61st floor) to check out the view – it was absolutely amazing with stunning 360° panoramic sights of the city lights, but it was very crowded with people. So we went down one level to Vertigo TOO (the hidden sky bar on the 60th), and wow – what a great decision! The most amazing international buffet awaited us – fresh, delicious variety with premium options that were perfectly prepared. The wine served with the meal was absolutely splendid; our server was fantastic, always close by to refill our glasses without missing a beat. The dessert bar was a highlight too – so many tempting treats that we couldn’t resist!Attentive service, breathtaking views even from indoors, and a more relaxed vibe than the top level. Perfect for a special dinner with great food and drinks. Highly recommend if you want luxury without the full crowd. Will return! 5/5

I found this restaurant on Hungry Hub and decided to visit because of the great reviews. The package I chose included three appetisers, three main courses, two desserts, and two mocktails.

The meal started off very well. The appetisers were genuinely impressive – the salmon was fresh, and the crispy rice with tuna was absolutely delicious! It was a great start and set high expectations for the rest of the meal.

However, the main courses didn’t quite meet the same standard. I ordered the seabass, striploin, and lamb shank. Unfortunately, all three dishes arrived quite cold, which was disappointing. The striploin was very tough and chewy, and we had to ask for it to be reheated. The lamb shank itself was nice, though naturally on the gamier side, but the mashed potatoes served with it was super watery and lacked flavour. The seabass also seemed slightly overcooked, making the fish and skin tougher than expected. The sauce and vegetables were just okay.

Thankfully, the desserts brought the experience back up. Both dishes – the mango cheesecake and the chocolate lava cake with jam – were very enjoyable. The mocktails were decent but nothing unique.

One thing I wish had been communicated more clearly was the cost of water. We weren’t told there would be an extra charge, and I was surprised to find out a bottle cost 320 THB (upon receiving the bill). With tax and service fees, the total ended up being 175 AUD instead of the expected 140 AUD.

Overall, I can see why the restaurant has good reviews, especially based on the appetisers and desserts. With improvements to the temperature and flavour of the main dishes, and clearer communication about additional charges, it has the potential to provide a much more consistent dining experience and potentially see returning customers.

There was also a live band, which added a great vibe to the atmosphere, and they even took song requests which we really appreciated.

Upscale experience. We had a lobster risotto and crab bruschetta along with a medium spiced shrimp linguini. I celebrated my birthday and it ended with a candlelit mini-cake. The view was fantastic! Navigation to the restaurant is not as clear if you are not staying at the hotel but if you keep asking you will get there. Once you to get to the 59th floor be prepared to climb steps. Not sure if the rooftop is accessible any other way. I saw waiters bringing food via the steps. The service was great. The lobster risotto was a little heavy on the salt with a brown gravy base. It was good otherwise. Atmosphere, views and service was impeccable!!!

Today we had an absolutely wonderful dinner and a truly unforgettable evening in this restaurant. First of all, I would like to highlight the service, specifically our waitresses Film and Pen, I have never experienced better service. However, the staff of the entire hotel was incredibly polite and nice. The food was, in a word, amazing. Each course had something to offer and it was a pleasant combination of flavors. I have to highlight especially the smoked salmon with dill, which was exceptional. The whole evening was made more enjoyable by the live music, which was very nice. I recommend this restaurant to anyone who wants to experience a wonderful evening in Bangkok with an unforgettable view of the city.

I booked a romantic set on Hungry Hub for a dinner after getting engaged with my girlfriend.

The table decoration was very nice and my fiancée was offered a flower bouquet.

The atmosphere is very nice and we had the pleasure to enjoy live music even though it was a bit difficult to talk with the music.

Food was very good and the portions are very generous. The dessert options however are a bit limited.

Service was excellent, I’d like to personally thank Film and Pen for the very professional and warm service throughout the dinner.
We were smoothly welcomed and got a lot of small gestures that matters : complimentary appetizer, complimentary mocktail with the dessert, souvenir picture… we were offered a seat on the sofa area to enjoy the dessert, and we ended the night on the rooftop terrace to enjoy the view and take some pictures.

We will forever keep a good memory of that dinner. I’d recommend 100%.

I visited your restaurant tonight for a birthday dinner. I had pre-ordered a birthday cake via email in advance and received confirmation from the restaurant. After finishing our meal, we waited for quite some time, but the cake never arrived.

For a restaurant that prides itself on service, such a oversight in handling reservations is truly disappointing. We specifically chose your venue for a special occasion, but the experience was marred by poor internal communication. I hope the restaurant can address this issue seriously, improve coordination between teams!

A stunning rooftop bar in Bangkok. Certainly one of the most iconic ones. It’s absolutely worth visiting for a drink or two or after work party. The Service unfortunately was not at the top. The waiters (abd there were a lot) preferred to chat to each other rather than checking out on clients (and the bar was not jammed or even packed). However the views you have are always amazing and the drinks are quite good.

The setting on the 60th floor is the showstopper, providing breathtaking panoramic city views. The tea set itself is beautifully presented, often featuring unique, seasonally themed savories and sweets that match the hotel’s luxury standard. While the food quality is generally very good, the true value and luxury come from the stunning atmosphere, attentive Banyan Tree service, and the chance to relax high above Bangkok’s bustle.

The views from the rooftop are insane. I told them it was our honeymoon so they gave us a really nice corner spot. Overlooking all of Bangkok. The food was good especially the sides and desserts. Smaller portions. Very expensive. Nice for special occasions.
