La Rustica was fabulous! The food, the atmosphere and maybe most of all, the service. Our food was outstanding. We loved the restaurant and from the young gentleman who greeted us as we walked in the door and talked to us about our drive to the restaurant to our assistant waiters and our head waiter. The service was some of the best we’ve ever had. Everyone was kind, attentive and very happy to help with suggestions and talk about various food & wine items. In this world of big box restaurants and fast food joints, La Rustica stands out with its old world world family-owned establishment, charm service and some of the best food we’ve had in a very long time! 11 out of 10 Stars ✨

Hubby and I had plans in West Seattle and decided to have a date night at La Rustica. I used their online system to make a reservation and had no issue paying the $50 deposit which is then deducted from the final bill. All worked seamlessly and we were seated on time. What a fabulous evening – easily one of the best restaurant meals we’ve had in recent memory. I had the lamb special and my husband had the sausage risotto, both entrees were tasty & perfectly prepared with amble portions. Service was gracious and friendly, and the house-made limoncello tiramisu was airy and light. We never felt rushed. The cozy ambiance hasn’t changed in the 25 years we’ve been dining here off and on. The owner came by our table to ask how everything was, no complaints. La Rustica is truly a local gem and we are already planning our next visit.

What a shame to have to write this review . This was one of the best Italian restaurants in all of Seattle . We always brought friends from out of town here, for the view , the ambiance, the food ,& the friendly service.
It still has the same small cozy old country decor & atmosphere . But the food & service are not the same as it was when the Italian man was the owner . My husband will no longer go there because of the food, so I went with a girlfriend in hopes of a better experience . I ordered extra for the arugula Salade & the dressing tasted like water . Also tomato & orange slices do not pair well . When my pasta came , it was lukewarm & the dish was freezing cold. They heated the dish & it was pretty good but bland .
When we paid there was confusion about the $50. deposit I had to make for the reservation. When we left no one said goodbye or thank you .

Very cute Italian Restaurant, make you feel you are actually dinning in Italy.

The food was tasty and the wine was very tasty. We usually are not big fun of the bread, but the bread here was also chewy and tasty. We finished it before the food was served, lol

They also have a very nice outdoor sitting area, the view will be generous in summer.
The servers here were very friendly, he gave us great recommendations on both food and wines. Highly recommended and definitely will visit again.

We enjoyed a wonderful meal with four friends at this restaurant. The bread and oil served at the start were delightful, and the meals were excellent. Luckily, we had a reservation, as the space is small and it got quite busy. The dessert was also a highlight. My only suggestion would be to ensure the cat wandering inside is kept out during service. Other than that, it was a fantastic experience!

Was really excited to try this place! Although, like most Seattle waterfront/adjacent restaurants, they assume the setting will make up for the food.
The Baked Oysters are impeccable. However, the pasta not so much. The linguine was flavorless and the puttanesca was overwhelmed with olives. I would suggest to grab a drink and maybe an app before walking down Beach Dr.

Listen. I did not have a reservation. I had to wait 30 mins. Then I had to wait 30 mins more. When I tell you that this was the best dining and country Italian experience of my life regardless of that is an understatement. The extra 30 min wait was beyond anyone’s control and the owner personally apologized. The waitstaff were excellent. The menu was just enough. The sunset view was superb. The food and drinks were top notch. Intimate and personalized. This solo diner is very pleased. Large and small parties accommodated. 10/10 must when in West Seattle.

Gnocchi , incredible. The Italian sausage in my dish tasted so ‘fresh’. Focaccia, amazing. Alfredo, pretty good. The pork belly appetizer, gross. Very dry. Caesar salad, very tangy. Croutons were stale. Once seated after a 2 hour wait, each course took a very long time. The staff didn’t greet our table for 10-15 minutes and was not great throughout the evening. Great views from certain tables.

Atmosphere, location, and view all gorgeous. We’ve dined here many times. On to our latest experience. We dined recently and all 4 of us really disappointed. The two young kids bussing and keeping things going did a fine job. The waiter on the other hand was all over the place. Kept slamming the patio door in and out by our table. LOUDLY. Asked if we wanted a bread refill, promptly brought us a plate of cold bread. He returned to the table with entrees and reached over everyone handing out plates vs placing them in front of us. Offered us “fresh cheese” for our entrees. Instead brought us a pizza restaurant style shaker from the fridge full of grated cheese(it was cold) and plopped it on the table.

Cocktails are good. Wine list is average to simple. Menu offerings are plentiful and the food was all fine. If the experience matched the prices it would have been a 4 star overall. Otherwise it had the feel of a pricey Vinces.
