Friendly, helpful service, great food. We had the barbecue sandwich and a quesadilla. There were plenty of seat-yourself tables available, but the outdoor seating was closed due to construction. TVs appeared to be easy to view from most tables. Layout is narrow from the entry to the bar, which opens up again.

This is one of those beautifully placed taverns that adds so much atmosphere. The service is dependably good. The owners are a delight to talk to and they create a community within their establishment. Live events bring out the best of the Vicksburg community and the best open mics happen here. The food, from hefty pizza, to juicy burgers, to some of their finer culinary experiments are quite a delight too. This tavern excels at creating a friendly and beautiful atmosphere.

This place rocks. It wasn’t always this good, but the last few years they stepped up their game. Salads are good but not cut up enough. The wings are super good. Too bad the prices are high. They seemed to be 2 bucks more then a lot of dishes are. 16 dollar salad is rough. Doesn’t 14 sound better. Its not liks I have a allergy to expensiveness, it should be cheaper for a salad and drinks as well. If you’re a vickbugian then this place is better the Main street pub but not as good as hideaway (prices). If hideaway is packed (like always) this place is a good choice over a lot of places

My wife and I were able to meet up with former co-workers at Vickers Lakeside Tavern. The food was good and our server was courteous and responsive. We also enjoyed the atmosphere. We had a very nice dining experience and we will probably return for another meal.

Don’t go here for the food. Do go here for a couple drinks on their patio that overlooks the water. It’s a nice setup at night with all the lights, and sometimes they have live music or a DJ.
If you are getting a drink in their outside patio, I advise against getting a top shelf liquor that hardly anyone else would buy. I got a double of Maker’s Mark, and when I looked down into my glass there were about 12 dead fruit flies floating around the bottom of the glass. My theory is that since no one hardly orders it, the flies have more of a chance to crawl down that spout that is put in the bottle. These bottles are probably just left outside, and in time can accumulate lots of bugs.
Edit: The food has improved over the last few months. However, lately it has been hit or miss on the quality. Recently I ordered a burger with a side of potato salad. The burger came back well done 🙁 and the side of potato salad was barely anything at all. It came in one of those little plastic containers that they put dip in. Plus the potato salad was sitting in a bunch of water, so overall it was very unpleasant. The waitress asked if I wanted them to make me a new burger, but I was really hungry and didn’t want to wait another 15-20 minutes. I was at least expecting them to take it off the bill or reduce the cost, but they did not.

Met up with a group for a friend’s birthday. Food and drinks were great and delivered quickly all night. Our server, Elle, was phenomenal! Even with a busy dinner rush, and us needing to add tables, we were always taken care of with a smile. Definitely will be back and recommend to friends!
