A couple of friends have been here and recommended it to us. We met them for dinner in mid October. While they have outside tables it was way too cold to eat outdoors. We arrived 15 minutes early so decided to have a drink at the bar while waiting for our friends to arrive. My wife ordered a Espolon Blanco on the rocks with some limes and I ordered a Ranch Water.
Once they arrived we moved from the bar to a table. While looking at the menu we ordered Guacamole.
For dinner one friend and I had Taco Briera. My wife had Enchilada Trio with one cheese, one chicken, and vegetables. Our other friend had the combo poblano with pork. We also shared a picture of margarita with Espolon Tequila.
Coyote Flaco is a cool little Mexican Restaurant with a great selection of tequila and delicious food.

Tried the chicken burrito. The rice was like uncle Ben’s rice less flavorthe chicken was unseasoned the green and red hot sauce flavorless just spicey + watery and the chip salsa was from a can 30$ meal my expectations we’re not met.

Stopped in for early dinner and sat outside. I ordered a Pina colada, shrimp appetizer, guacamole, and chili releno w/ chicken.
The pina colada left tons to be desired. Chips and salsa were passable.
The chili relenos was covered in maxed packaged cheese which I removed. Lacked flavor for me.
The guacamole was passable, but could use salt.
The shrimp was not what was expected when I looked at other photos in reviews. They were small and sad. I didn’t bother with the garlic bread, as it didn’t seem like quality bread.
Skipped dessert.

Great food! We went to the High Falls to hike and came here for lunch as it was so close. We each ordered something different and every dish was so good. The meat that went with the tacos and enchiladas was flavorful, pork was a tad on the drier side. We came on a good day so sitting outside on the porch with our dog made this a nice alfresco dining experience for us.

My family was in the area from out of town and decided to try it on a Saturday afternoon. We were seated right away. It’s quaint and cutely decorated. The complimentary chips and dip were delicious. We shared the guacamole and it was fresh and yummy. Both of my kids had the steak quesadilla which came with refried beans and rice. I had the trio’s enchiladas and my husband had the tres amigos. Everything was delicious and the meals were big enough to bring home for later. Will return if I’m in the area again!

2025 still as awesome:
2018 Scrumptious, flavorful, savory Mexican, not texmex, FRIENDLY staff, ample tequila offerings, spice to your preference from absent to extra kick. Beats the (no slouch!, nearby) Mexican Radio with both price and flavor. Worth a trip. Highly recommended.
2025: I always eat the food faster than I realized I should have taken a picture, because I know what good food is coming, but I have a photo of the drink and dessert

We were a large group and they were easily able to accommodate us without reservations. I got the enchilada trio which was really tasty – highly recommend the shrimp enchiladas. The churros were phenomenal and hit the spot despite being so full. We also had queso and guac to start – both of which were significantly better than the complimentary salsa. I’d definitely recommend this place if you’re in the area!
