I had dinner at this quaint little restaurant in downtown St. Petersburg for the first time last night with a friend, and we absolutely loved it. From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere felt warm, inviting, and charming — the kind of place you instantly know you’ll want to come back to.
They offer a pretty diverse menu with something for everyone, which we really appreciated. It made choosing difficult in the best way possible. Both of our appetizers were excellent — fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. The entrées were just as impressive and cooked perfectly. You can tell there’s real attention to detail in the kitchen.
The service was also great. Our server was attentive, friendly, and made the whole experience even more enjoyable without being overbearing.
Overall, it was a fantastic first visit. Everything from the food to the atmosphere to the service was on point. I would definitely return and highly recommend giving this spot a try if you’re in downtown St. Pete.

Really enjoyed my first visit to B&M. Started with pulled pork poutine which was flavorful and rich. We also had a tuna tartar which was lovely on the plate, the fish had actual flavor, and we could mix in some kimchi or other tastes to upgrade it as we went. I had the bouillabaisse as my main and consumed every bite. The broth had a nice coconut creaminess and gave the whole dish nice complexity. Wines by the glass were interesting and creative. Overall a good choice.

Brick and Mortar is a small but cozy gem. Intimate and full of charm. The food was outstanding! The braised short rib fat noodles and the bread pudding were absolutely to die for. The panna cotta was such a surprise, a unique mix of lavender, basil, blue cheese, and prosciutto, and somehow it all worked beautifully.
The pulpo a la gallega wasn’t my favorite and I probably wouldn’t order it again, but everything else more than made up for it. Our server was extremely attentive and made the whole experience even better.

Decent place overall the service was very good and filled up our water religiously too. The sweet potato ravioli appetizer was quite delicious. Wife loved the bouillabaisse but my salad with shrimp was doused with dressing so much it made it tough to enjoy. Probably worth a second try.

Absolutely outstanding food. The venison was so tender, well seasoned. Foie gras, octopus, amatriciana, ahi tuna tarata – all super delicious.

Easily one of the best restaurants in St. Pete. Love the homemade pasta, the seasonal menu, and the wine list. Consistently great food and atmosphere. It’s a smaller, cozy space (not loud or chaotic), and while you can call ahead, we’ve never had to wait long.

We came across Brick and Mortar while exploring St Pete. The food was exceptional, I had the duck with Moroccan couscous, my wife had the scallops. The wait staff was friendly and made us feel welcomed. Highly recommend.

We very much enjoyed our meal here and thought the food was outstanding. The place is small and can be loud and crowded. Also note that they do not have liquor only beer and wine.

Stop everything you’re doing and get the B&M burger as-is + truffle fries with garlic aioli and ketchup to dip. Sincerely the best burger/fries combo I’ve ever had in my entire life. Definitely worth the 45 minute drive and will be back again soon!
