Tablespoon & Market is a genuine bright spot on the road.

In a state where healthy, thoughtfully prepared food can be hard to find—especially between urban centers—this place feels like a small act of rebellion against the food desert. The split pea soup was outstanding, deeply comforting and clearly made with care. The market is well-curated, full of good ingredients and smart choices, and the overall vibe is refreshingly quirky.

The system is a little unconventional—you shop the market, then they plate and serve your selections—which takes a moment to figure out. There’s still some polishing to do. But the heart is absolutely there. Real food. Real effort. Real flavor.

If you’re passing through and want something healthy, tasty, and a little off the beaten path, this place is worth the stop.

What a jewel! We were traveling to Indy and stopped for lunch. It was a fresh menu with a focus on healthy – including gluten free, vegan and dairy free. Our waitress was super friendly and accommodating. The business owner was as well. It is charming as well as delicious. I highly recommend it!

Thank you, Table Spoon, for the Crepe-making Class and Weekend Brunch! My teenage son and I had a lot of fun doing something creative together. We signed up to learn crepe-making, but we also learned how to make caramel sauce, hollandaise, and REAL whipped cream. I appreciated how all the cooking-class clients were given the chance to participate in steps small and large (wilt spinach or slice bananas while waiting for your turn at the blender station).

My teen loved learning how to flip crepes in-the-pan without a utensil (it’s all in the wrist!), and all the participants cheered each other on through several attempts.

Based on my experience, the Table Spoon cooking classes are a great way for couples, parents and kids, or friends to bond through a fun, shared experience. Could also be a really fun birthday party…just sayin’ Highly recommend!

I’ve been there twice for two very different events and had wonderful experiences both times.
—The first was as a guest for a dinner for 10 people or so and we had the venue to ourselves. The appetizer was a make-your-own Thai spring roll activity that was delightful. It was a such a creative way to get everybody interacting and the ingredients were fresh and authentic. The rest of the meal and beverages were equally fantastic.
—The second was for a work “retreat” (basically a four-hour meeting) and they were very accommodating. The breakfast pastries and coffee were lovely, the coffee always filled and hot, and they moved the space around to accommodate our projector screen. Again, for the meeting, we had the venue to ourselves so it was quiet (but other groups were there for lunch, although separated by a partition).

The costs were very reasonable, the food and venue excellent, and the service was attentive without being intrusive.

This is a lovely spot to grab a delicious bite. The setup is as a grab-and-go, but they have tables that you can use inside or outside. I’ve had business lunch meetings there, and the atmosphere is just right! They also have meal options for you to take home and heat for dinner. A great new food option in town!

Lali and staff catered a lunch for our group, and everything was delicious! The menu she put together was perfect to please all of our guests. Everyone commented how wonderful everything was and that her venue was perfect for the occasion. We love having her in our downtown, it’s so convenient for other businesses.
