I’m a big fan of bagels, so maybe I’m a little biased but the bagels here are seriously good! I tried the jalapeño cheese bagel with lox, and it was absolutely delicious. My husband got the same, but with onions added, and he loved it too. The shop was clean, the staff was friendly, and the overall vibe was welcoming. I’d definitely come back next time I’m in the area!

I came in on a Wednesday afternoon and I absolutely loved the vibe. It was dimly lit, good music playing and I received outstanding service from Amani.

She’s so warm, kind and helpful. I couldn’t decide what I wanted because everything sounds so good.

On her advice, I ordered and everything bagel club and added red onions and ooooooo mmmmmmm it was sooo good. Fresh, aesthetically pleasing and also just great flavor.

Also, the bagel chips are so, so good. I plan to use them for hummus and lebni dip. Fragrant, nice crisp, and delicious. I highly recommend.

The Chinese chicken salad is simple and what I love about it is the generous amount of dressing.

Will come back for a light lunch any day.

Kudos to great food, service and atmosphere.

Came from the SFV to have breakfast with my old boss. Since I was early, I was going to stop at SB to have a cup of coffee but then I saw the 42nd Street Bagel Cafe. So glad I came here. Great, friendly service and a delicious mocha. If I had not been eating later, I would have picked up a bagel as well. They looked terrific.

I used to come here alot. Today I popped in after a Dr’s appointment as it was on my way. I took the bagel home uncut and untoasted so I could use my organic cream cheese. Got home and the jalapeño bagel was on the small side which I can live with. Cut it open and it was not all the way cooked. Disappointed. I toasted the crap out of it and it was ok.

Omg. If you want to have a really good home baked bagel you have to go here. One of the best bagels I ever had. Nice outdoor patio and great staff. I usually don’t give a five unless a place deserves a five star review. This is a five.

To go order. Toasted sesame bagel was good but cream cheese seemed whipped. Ruben bagel was dry, asked for extra sauce and saw zero sauce. They forgot to add a fork. The dining area and order station were dark and a little chaotic with folks not knowing where to stand to place an order. We are guessing they stay busy due to lack of competition. One guy got his bagel and told them he originally wanted it to go, so the gal told him a box costs extra.

they didn’t toast my bagel, like asked and on top of that, they only added the tiniest amount of cream cheese on my bagel, genuinely maybe less than a tablespoon. basically the driest bagel I’ve had 🙁

Not great with attention to detail. I literally wrote my order down, handed it to the cashier, and she got it wrong, so we read it together TWICE and they still got it wrong. Definitely check your order before you leave, because holy crap.

My first time trying this place and I wish I could rate it higher. Because I loved the atmosphere and service and I would love to give them another try and another chance. I liked what I ordered “in theory”. I ordered the lunch special that came with a bagel sandwich of my choice, a side, and a drink. Great deal! And when it came it looked great, a sandwich with all the fixings I like, lettuce, tomato, mayo, and red onion. I got the onion cheese bagel with pastrami and cheddar. I asked for toasted, but when I clarified “lightly toasted” it arrived looking completely untoasted and cold. I just didn’t want it looking dark or burnt so I said “lightly toasted”, but I did want it hot. And the meat and cheese were also cold. I looked on the menu and the pastrami sandwich, if just ordered that way, is a hot sandwich on their menu board. So that’s what I was expecting. I think the flavors blend better with a hot bagel and hot meat and then the cheese would’ve been melted too. But the cheese didn’t melt because both the bagel and the meat were cold. Especially the pastrami was ice cold and that’s what I didn’t like the most. Their pastrami will never match The Hat for quality either. It looked like cold roast beef and that’s what it tasted like too.

Saw this bagel place on tiktok and we were so delighted it was what they claimed. Probably the best bagel I’ve had in California! We’ve been back twice!
