Lunch time for three! Order at the counter and they bring to you. Can dine indoors or out on covered porch. Indoor dining area is tight but definitely fits a good BBQ dining spot along with decor. Barely a wait for entrees. Pulled pork sandwiches were great. Loaded baked potato was great. Texas mustard and smoked potato salads were good. Their take on Brunswick stew was more of a soup and thin but still good. I’m used to more a thicker puréed stew. Service was great and friendly! Would definitely come back.

The food was delicious! I had the pulled pork plate with smoked tater salad and bbq baked beans. I also liked the different sauces offered. 10/10

We had the brisket and the chicken and 4 different sides. Slaw, Mac n Cheese, baked beans and tots for the kids. Meat was top tier in every way. Wife said the beans were the best she has ever tasted. Did not think we could find a place that was close to our favorite old fashioned BBQ place back home. Hate to admit it but some dishes might have been better. Place was packed and they still managed to take care of us. Only place we plan on going to for BBQ when we are back in town.

I was really disappointed in the food here. Hubby bought the brisket sandwich and I bought the sliced turkey plate with macaroni and salad. The meat was terribly dry on everything! You have to douse in the sauce just to get it down. The flavor of the meat was good but the meat was dry, dry, dry. The macaroni was like out of a box… won’t ever eat here again. My meal was 85.00. Won’t do this again

We hosted a lake day for our family and had picked up Happy Hawg catering—and wow, it was a huge hit! We went with the smoked chicken and brisket along with potato salad and slaw, and everything was absolutely perfect. The chicken was fall-off-the-bone tender, the brisket was incredible, and the potato salad might be the best I’ve ever had. And don’t even get me started on the sauces—so good! I’m getting hungry just writing this review. Excellent BBQ all around!

This place is a gem in Hiawassee, Georgia! All of the staff were very friendly and the place had a hometown feel to it. I could tell this is where the locals come because everyone knew everyone by name. My wife and I both got the Little Piglets(sliders) with turkey and chicken. The Smokehouse Potato Salad was amazing! Slaw was perfect and beans were awesome! Now the fried corn was something to write home about!! Anyone passing through Hiawasee MUST stop here! We definitely will next time we come through.

My husband and I were there today; I really wanted to eat ribs and found this place, the closest one to our hotel. The service was unfriendly, they don’t have french fries as a side dish for the ribs, and we had to order a very mediocre baked potato and some canned sweet beans with no seasoning whatsoever; but the worst part was that the ribs were bland, almost raw, and tasted like gas from the cooking process. We reluctantly ate half of them and brought the rest home, but it’s only fit for the trash. I don’t recommend this place, at least not for ribs.

Small building, big flavor. All the meats we got came dry (no sauce already on it). The ribs didn’t need anything, easily just eat them with nothing added. I also had the turkey and pork. The beans and steakhouse potato salad are also quite tasty and the garlic bread was cooked just right. They also have three sauces, a sweet and mild, South Carolina vinegar based, and a North Carolina mustard based sauce. They were all good, but the NC mustard stood out for me. Staff was nice and the over all feeling was quaint and like at a friend’s house.
