-I originally left a one-star review due to my disappointing experience, but I’m updating it to four stars because the manager personally reached out to make things right. I truly appreciate the professionalism and accountability shown. The replacement plate I received was much more up to par—better prepared, properly portioned, and overall a significant improvement. Thank you for taking the time to address the issue and ensure a better experience.
A damn Disgrace.
The salmon meal was very underwhelming. The portions were uneven and poorly presented, with the salmon pieces cut inconsistently and looking dry. The rice & peas were oily and messy, and the mac & cheese looked clumpy and overcooked. Overall, the meal looked rushed, lacked care, and did not match the quality or portion I expected for the price.

I ordered an oxtail meal that came with rice and peas and 2 sides.
For starters, the oxtail was very hard. It was not tender like oxtail is suppose to be. And secondly, I don’t think it was really oxtail. It did not taste like it.
The mac was not what I was expecting. The yams was the only thing that was decent. Yams tasted like it was only boiled.

I will never return to this restaurant the food is horrible I had lamb chops very very dry couldn’t really chew it the green beans had no seasoning what so ever the banana pudding looks like it been sitting for a weeks Mac an cheese very dry potato salad was ok could use some seasoning food over price an lady up front don’t have good customer service skills

The food is very good my only complaints are if they don’t have what you want the’ll substitute it without contacting you first. They cancel orders a lot for being closed when they should be open and this is after they’ve confirmed they were open. The communication is bad but the food is great

The restaurant in Inca strip mall right near Dunkin Donut. The staff is friendly and the feed is fresh. The portions are ample. I had Turkey wings, macaroni and cheese and sweet potato. All entrees come with rice and peas. I opted not to have rice and peas so I can’t rate it. I would go there again because for takeout it is as close as you can get to homemade nothing was swimming in grease.

Once I heard how rude and annoyed the person was when I called, I should had known the food was going to be nasty. The oxtails was very dark and oily with only 3 pieces. Mac and cheese burnt and the rice hard. I paid 36 dollars for that lol only to get crap. Ppl in Staten Island can’t cook for their lives, no offense to those lol

Horrible food. Nothing soul about it pissed me clean off Mac & cheese had no seasoning the oxtail clearly was made w browning sauce only. Only thing w flavor was the 3 peas in the little bit of rice they gave. I wouldn’t recommend this place to a dog that’s how mad I am $31 & I’m to far to return it ya should be ashamed playing in people food

This is my 2nd visit, I brought the same thing Turkey Wings white rice 2 sides collard greens and yams. First time I went Awesome!!! No complaints this time turkey wings are to dry, the collard greens were not bad but all I taste was salt no seasoning, and the yams were cut to thick “yuk” and not sweet at all. It’s too early to fall off now, we need. a soul food spot in the harbor but with fresh tasty food.
