Atmosphere? Awesome! Great decoration.
Service? Awesome! We were quite demanding and all servers help us quickly, eventhough the restaurant was 80% full!
Most important, the FOOD ? We only tried the SAKE experience and the BBQ set with various type of meat, up to the WAGYU set. Each meat was thin and had great taste. It’s up to you to adjust the cooking period on the BBQ. Even the dipping sauces were extremely tasty. We just LOVE IT ❤️
Thank you for the nice tasting experience.
Intense taste and good quality.
Many people complain about the grill but for me it was perfect.
You don’t smell much after the session.
The Nigiri were okay. Good quality.
We had also a dessert Ice cream, one was the yuzu and the other one was sesame
The Yuzu one was really good. The sesame was nice.
It was not really noisy and the waitstaff were great and honest about the dishes.
Yes it’s pricey but it’s worth it.
The reservation we had wasn’t for another hour but that was not a problem since it was not that busy. So we came in had a seat and the place was gorgeous, maintained and tidy.
We both took a Tokyo set and a California sushi roll (to honor the craving). The cuts of meat of the set were phenomenal. The grilling time is only a couple of seconds and the sides that come with it complement the main.
All in all it was fantastic and surely deserves a recommendation. That said, Rotterdam is a hell hole to get into and out of, so sadly we won’t come here often.
Pricey but worth it.
The meats we enjoyed were choice and of the highest quality. The Garlic Rice dishes in particular were an absolute dream to sink your teeth into. Every bite was a delight.
Even our child’s mood was noticeably brightened by the experience. The taste of Japanese chicken parts with rice found a place in his heart, and he has now discovered a new passion.
We really couldn’t fault anything – the meat, ingredients, quality and service were all top notch. Although the prices were on the higher side, the quality and service provided met our expectations. The taste of the food was delicious and the entire experience was worth every penny. We can recommend this restaurant without a doubt, especially if you are looking for a memorable Japanese BBQ experience.
However, I noticed a few things that could be improved. Me and my partner, We arrived on time for our reservation, but upon entering, the staff at the front desk appeared to be chatting with the kitchen staff and eating some sushi or other food. (Probably their staff foods, etc whatever) This eating food between the workers was OBVIOUSLY visible when we entered. LoL. Come on guys! Staffs could pay more attention to the customer approaching through the clear windows at the entrance, which didn’t give a professional first impression for us. Anyway, When the staff finally noticed us, they still had food in their mouth and even spoke to us while chewing. While I found this a bit humorous, it felt out of place for a restaurant that serves premium wagyu, a symbol of luxury and Japanese excellence.
Additionally, one of the staff members, who seemed to be the manager or a person in charge, came across as cold and unfriendly during the meal. While it didn’t ruin our dinner, it did slightly affect the joyful experience we were hoping to have anniversary celebrations while visiting your restaurant.
I believe that paying more attention to professionalism, especially at the entrance and in staff demeanor, could significantly elevate the experience and match the high quality of the foods, guys! You said Japanese restaurant, so I was expecting some of the experience too.
Anyway, Thank you again for the wonderful meal, and not sure to visit again in the future to this branch but maybe to other branch for under even better circumstances. Kampai!
