The food at this restaurant was tasty overall, but I probably would not order my meal again since I have had better versions elsewhere. My boyfriend ordered the Barbecue Chicken Flatbread, which was very delicious and full of flavor. I had ordered the Blackened Chicken Alfredo. It was adequate, but not quite what I expected, as I have enjoyed better Alfredo dishes at other restaurants. The atmosphere was lively and pleasant, creating a great dining environment. The service was excellent, and the staff were all very friendly, polite, and professional, which made the experience enjoyable overall. I would return, but this time, to try a different entrée.

Great time celebrating at a Christmas party. The tenderloin steak bites was fabulous and the salad with salmon was outstanding and we topped it off with fried Oreo cookies for dessert weight staff Mcoy, Jacquline and Maggie were great.

I have been to a couple of different Johnny Blacks locations and this one doesn’t disappoint! We especially enjoyed their small Balkan grill selection. The waitstaff was very friendly and accommodating, and the ambiance was great even on a random Monday night!

Went there for lunch it was nice I enjoyed it everything was clean the waitress was kind as well as the hostess! Our waitress was on top of drink refills and checking in on us as well I got some prime rib sliders they were pretty good with fries! if your in Shelby twp and are hungry definitely check them out

We came in for dinner on saturday 9/27 as first timers and the food was great! Our server was amazing and helped us pick out DELICIOUS items off the menu!!! We will definitely be back!

I tried johnny blacks for the first time. I got a drink ” skinny seniorita” I didn’t really know why it was skinny, but when It came it kind of taste like watered down tequila. I got the south west eggrolls. They were sooo good. They have a queso on them & that makes them delicious! I got the tavern burger with garlic parm fries. The burger was good. I substituted provolone cheese & asked for grilled onions instead of raw on it. The burger was a little over cooked for me, but we didn’t specify while ordering. The fries were cooked good. Not too mushy. I didn’t really taste too much garlic but there was ALOT of parmesan. I was covered in it. Lol.
All in all id go back. It was decent food & the prices aren’t horrible. The atmosphere is very starts bar & nice!

Every other time I’ve been to Johnny Blacks, it was not the location on 22 mile. – the other locations are great and services is amazing. The new location may have “kinks” but I have gone more than 3 times and each time the experience is not great.
The apps never fail – always good. Dinner on the other hand is never good. The meat was very dry & not good at all. Steak was ordered medium rare and came WELL DONE.
The server was very friendly but took at least 6 minutes to get to the table. Overall will not be going to this location.

Three other groups that came in after us were waited on and still no waitress for us. On our way out, we told one of the hostesses. I then told her we were leaving. Her response? “Ok.” No sorry…no apologies. This was the second time we tried this place. The first time, our dinners were too hot and spicy for us to eat although there was no mention of this on the menu. Plus, it’s SOOOO loud. If you are thinking of trying this place, don’t bother.

Bar atmosphere. Quite loud and difficult to talk on game days. Booth layouts are very nice to watch games. We had pizza. It was ok, but nothing to write home about. I had a Pumpkin Latte Expresso. It was very sweet. I could tell that the ingredients weren’t top line. However, I am a very particular drinker. I really only like quality ingredients. The waitress was attentive. I might return to eat again, but this was typical bar food and quality. I would like to try the pierogis, I thought that was a nice and unique addition to the menu, especially due to the large Polish population in this area.
