We ordered 2 pizzas, a bruschetta appetizer and a Caesar salad to share, as well as 2 cans of a specialty lemonade (non alcoholic) our bill came to $52 before tip.
The bruschetta came out first and was 4 rounds of a crusty baguette style bread with seasoned tomato drizzled with balsamic. Though it was very tasty, it seemed over priced for what you got.
Our pizzas took probably another 20 minutes to arrive and came out together. The salad was the odd thing in that it didn’t arrive until 1/2 way through our pizzas being finished.
Though I’m sure they had takeout orders being prepared, we were the only two people in the restaurant, and since I was seated where I could see the order counter I can honestly say no more than 1 or 2 people came in the entire time we were seated. So for a basic salad to take that long to arrive was a bit puzzling.
The salad was fresh, though very basic and came with a single heated breadstick. The breadstick tasted a day old , reheated and store bought . Absolutely nothing special. The salad was large enough to share (we got a small one) so that was nice.
The pizzas were just ok. The ingredients seemed fresh and the sauce was tasty. The crust had a nice bite and a good chew, but was rather flavorless. The margharitta needed a bit more cheese. Some slices had no cheese dollop at all (see attached photo)
The vegetarian was flavorful and had adequate toppings, but the crust got soggy before the pizza could be finished.
We had hoped to find a hidden gem not too far from Green Bay, but were disappointed it’s just OK.
Also note that Google maps has a Luxemburg address but they are actually in Dykesville!
After reading other reviews I do have to say… You have to remember that wood fired pizzas are very different from your Americanized pizza. Fresh ingredients and special ingredients are supposed to be a treat when you get a bite of it…not smothered like many are use to. Give it a try! I will be back!
