I’ve been coming to Wong’s Place for over a decade, and it never disappoints! The food is always fresh, flavorful, and consistently delicious. My go-to dishes are the Sweet and Sour Chicken, General Tso’s Chicken, Beef with Broccoli, and the teriyaki Beef — they’re especially amazing! The staff is friendly, the service is great, and I truly hope this restaurant continues to thrive for many more years.

Food is absolutely terrible. We ordered through Door dash. My general tso is literally spicy sweet and sour. The coconut chicken was literally just boiled chicken and vegetables with pineapples. The wonton soup is absolutely flavorless and the wontons were literally raw. I hate leaving these types of reviews. But this place is a disaster.

Just terrible! Worst Chinese food I’ve ever ordered. My vegetables were closer to raw than aldent . I ordered coconut chicken. It looks like milk was poured over the food and pineapple chunks added. The wontons in the wonton soup were gummy and undercooked. The cheese wontons were decent. We ordered late. I’d rather you decline my order then send the tasteless undercooked slop you sent. I am so upset and extremely disappointed!

Absolutely Delicious food and appetizers. Great food, large portions, and good friendly staff. I loved that they gave me fried rice with pork on the side of my lo mein. That was a dinner just by itself. Wonton soup is a must have.

If I could give a zero I would. Years ago this place was awesome, good prices, good food. Now prices high and food quality is low. We had not eaten there in a couple years, because the last time we went it was horrible. We figured we try it again and we’re so disappointed again. The worst pepper steak I have ever eaten, threw three quarters of it away. The rice was old, and I am not sure it was even steak. I hope others have had better experiences then we did! It is a shame this place used to be an icon of Waycross. I can’t really rate the other stuff because we did carry out.

Today, I witnessed going back to the early 1900s. The dining area had one table of two seated. They were African American. An African American waitress was there server. The white waitress got the next three tables, all white people. Then, an African American lady came in, and the African American waitress got to serve her. Then a white couple came in, and the white waitress took them. I am thought some lady named Rosa Parks corrected this issue years ago. I asked if they tip shared and was told no. They each keep their own. This place needs someone like Oprah or Steve Harvey to come in and bless the African American waitress. Or a whole AfricanAmericanchurch group come in and only allow the African American waitress to serve6 them, not that the food is that good. The seafood dishes state lobster is in the per the menu. I asked the server whether they used lobster or imitation. She didn’t know and asked the owner. He stated that they never have lobster. One wonders why this is on the menu then.

This place has really gone to pot. It used to be the best restaurant in town and now it’s consistently awful. They’re also listed on Door Dash but won’t actually send you food or give you a refund. I would starve before they’d ever get another penny from me.

I have been to this establishment many times in the past and have never had a terrible experience until today. My family of four came in and we ordered our drinks. Our waitress didn’t seem like she cared to be there. After getting irritated that we asked if they had Coke or Pepsi products, she then brought a large drink in an adult cup to my three year old. After asking her if we could have a cup with a lid, things only got worse. Our food was ordered and we waited for what seemed like ages in a dining room with only two other families dinning. We ordered sesame chicken and two combinations of chicken lo mein. The sesame chicken was cold as if it had just been taken from the fridge, plated and some seeds thrown on top. The chicken lo mein was like it was used from left overs and popped into the microwave and ready for serving. Our waitress played the best game of Houdini while we were there to the entire dining room of only two families. All parties were clueless to where she was and getting very agitated that we could not get her help. While in the meantime another waitress was running around dancing, laughing and making nonsense jokes about billions of dollars. I guess the joke was on us paying customers. Needless to say I’m sure Wongs got many bad complaints today as it deserved. As long as the staff here serves left over fridge food, remains to be unseen and plays class clown I will not spend any more time or money here and I would suggest you do the same.

The staff were very friendly and provided great recommendations for food. We tried the fried cheese (basically a crab Rangoon without the crab fried hard) the Seseme Shrimp. I wasn’t a fan of the sauce and wish I had gotten it on the side. We also had the hot and sour soup. It was ok but not my favorite. We will likely not be back and were surprised this place was rated so high by trip advisor.
