AUTHENTIC THAI FOOD IN AMK!
Cooked by a legit Thai chef, full-on flavour, and super affordable.

Here’s what we ordered (and devoured):

Fried Fish w/ 3-Flavour Sauce
Sweet, spicy, sour — the sauce was vibing. Fish was crispy. No leftovers, obviously.

Kailan w/ Roast Pork, Rice + Egg
Simple but soooo satisfying. Roast pork crispy & tender, kailan fresh and crunchy, and the egg tied it all together. Plate wiped clean.

Seafood Pad Mama
Comfort food level: unlocked. Springy noodles, fresh seafood, and not spicy — perfect if you want chill vibes

Mama Salad
Instant noodles but like… elevated in the best way. Tossed in a tangy, slightly spicy sauce with seafood. Unexpectedly addictive.

Fried Tofu
Crispy little tofu bites — great for snacking (found myself lowkey hoarding the whole plate)

Tofu Soup w/ Minced Pork
Light, warm, and hella comforting. My mum tried it and went “wah, nice!” — officially mum-approved

Authentic Thai flavours, Value for money, and serious spice. Really taste like Thailand.
Every dishes we tried was nice.

Tom Yum Seafood Soup with rice $6.50
spicy and comforting.
Mango Salad $6, spicy and refreshing.
Fried Grouper was crispy, tender, just $12 only!
Thai Chicken Wings $6.50, super crispy, and addictive.

Hidden gem, must-try for Thai food lovers.

I tried Chao Ji Thai, and the green curry was decent enough, but not particularly memorable. The portion size was acceptable, and the dish arrived as expected. The service was alright, nothing stood out either positively or negatively. The atmosphere, as it was takeout, wasn’t really a factor. It’s a pretty standard option. ‍♀️ If you’re nearby, it’s an option.

Was running some errands with my fam members at Courts, which is just round the corner, then my relative, Devin, came across this thai stall. Which he wanted the mama noodles.

Food was absolutely delicious. I’d say, very very close to what you’ll find in Thailand. To me it’s still quite spicy, but satisfying. You can really see the amount of herbs, like lemongrass, kaffir leaves & even galangal in the soups.

The tomyum fried rice was nice! Hints of Tomyum taste lingered in the fried rice. Flavourful.

Albeit the food ‘s pretty spicy, I recommend the tomyum soup, and the basil pork. The soup was flavourful and had some depth to it. The ingredients were generous, and fresh. The basil really still had the earthy smell. The prawns were able to be deshelled easily.

Thai style kangkong was good. Not a difficult dish to make, but I like here better (the hint of the soybean paste wasn’t overpowering like how I find it elsewhere).

The steamed seabass with lime goes so well with rice. Appetizing. Spicy. Citrusy.

The fried chicken skin was well done too ! Crispy. Would be a good pairing as a snack.

Had the honor and opportunity to chat with the boss, which he was open for feedbacks.

Would come back again! Worth the visit when you’re in AMK! If you have younger ones/ people with lower spice tolerant, can let the staff know. I believe they can reduce on the heat

Second trip here, first trip when boss was around, served piping hot crispy chicken skin. Boss say its gonna be run by Singaporeans.

Today i returned, boss not here, nobody that even sounded like singaporean, come out chicken skin colder than room temperature, crispiness fell by 40%, asked the auntie cashier to warm up, she flatly rejected me saying cannot be done.
$5.50 for a plate of semi crispy, cool chicken skin that’s been sitting around for dunno how long….

Basil pork rice was decent overall, but the attitude of the staff and the chicken skin simply made it such a poor experience. I’m not coming back.

Yet another facepalm disappointment.

Tried the chicken skin at Chao Ji Thai and wow — hands down the best I’ve ever had! Super crispy, perfectly seasoned, and not overly oily. It’s addictive and totally worth the calories. If you’re visiting, this is a must-try snack. Will definitely be back for more! No photos of the chicken skin because we didn’t expect it to be this good haha
