We tried the hay Cung rolls, the a mok trei, and mee katang
The Hay cung sauce is pretty good. It is sweet and the spice profile reminds me of the sauce some places will serve with roast duck. The hay cung itself, I don’t know if it is the shrimp pieces or a spice that’s in the mix, but the texture of the filling inside the roll was a little gritty which I didn’t like.
A mok trei we ordered because a lot of people recommended in the reviews. It came with a pint of rice. If you like fish and sweet curries, you will like this dish. For our part, neither of us are big on fish or curry and it didn’t change our minds. we thought it was ok but did not love
Mee katang was a bit bland until the included chili oil (not pictured) was added in. Their chili oil is pretty good, and has a nice kick. Unfortunately, the noodles tasted a bit burnt but the vegetables were perfectly crisp tender and not overcooked.
All in all, it was not bad. It was very far for us in addition to the surrounding streets being a little rough so I am also not sure we would rush back. We perhaps just had too high of expectations from the other reviews
We also bought chef Sam’s book & it adds a level of depth & appreciation to how great this place is!
The only downside is the parking situation. It can be challenging, and the area may feel a bit uneasy at times due to the presence of individuals lingering nearby. I recommend not leaving any belongings visible in your car.
Overall, the food and experience were excellent, and this restaurant is absolutely worth a visit.
Our little one really liked the fish balls in one of the soups, and when we asked for a few more for her they brought them without hesitation. Good portion size and value for money, would definitely recommend a visit!
Both Fisherman’s noodle and Phnom Penh Special had a nice amount of toppings. Add their chili oil for a kick. First time trying WIDE rice noodles, highly recommended!
Friendly staff and lots of parking available in the lot next to the restaurant.
Taste – Everything was delicious! We’re used to having amazing Cambodian food in Lowell, so we tend to be picky when trying places elsewhere. But this spot exceeded our expectations. Every dish was flavorful, authentic, and satisfying.
Ambiance – The space is cozy and intimate—stylish. It had a really modern, warm and welcoming.
We were happy with every dish we tried and impressed with the friendly service. Definitely a must-visit if you’re craving Cambodian food in Seattle!
What makes this restaurant stand out is that recipes have not changed nor adapted. They remained consistent and timeless.
The bone broth is rich, aromatic and clear and a go to for winter days and colds. The chicken noodle soup is my favorite and I love the fried garlic added to the broth. The chicken is silky and juicy and it melts in my mouth. My family loves the lok luk and the tangy lemon vinaigrette adds dimension to the beef cubes that are perfectly wok tossed.
I can go through the whole menu and encourage multiple visits and share family style. Service is outstanding and the new location is modern and cozy.
I ordered the Phnom Penh Special and it was amazing. The perfect thing for a cold windy day in Seattle. Portion was very large and a great price for the amount of food.
