Loved there were vegan options, we had a great time, great service and atmosphere. We had vegan burrito with vegan salad and was delicious. Definitely recommend. I would happily go again.

Glad to see Phat Burrito back open and thriving, brought back memories of the “old days” in SouthEnd.
Got a steak and black bean burrito and it did not disappoint. The tomatilla salsa was on point (but I was disappointed that the old salsa bar didnt make it to the new version of the restaurant)
Will definitely return!

We wanted to try a new spot to us and so happy we did! The food did not disappoint. We came in early afternoon so there was still some parking available. The customer service was welcoming and everyone checked in. We had the chicken quesadillas, steak burrito, southwest taco, empanadas, and street corn. Everything was delicious! Burrito was perfect size, had to save half for later.
Only feedback is the street corn should be creamy and empanadas more flavor, just preference! Definitely will be returning and recommend!

This is a bad joke; $16 for a steak burrito barely larger than a standard playing card. I could have had three times as many from Taco Bell and at least known I was throwing my money away… This place is a shell of the original.

If you’ve seen my reviews before, you know I’m all about great food and meeting new people. My recent visit to Phat Burrito in LoSo Charlotte was a blast! I ended up here thanks to my brother’s suggestion, similar to my experience at Mad Greek Charlotte(definitely check that review out!).

As soon as I walked in, I got this awesome vibe that reminded me of ‘Donna’ from That ’70s Show. If you’re not familiar with her, you might miss the reference, but trust me, Liz totally nailed that energy. While my brother was pondering the menu, I struck up a full-blown conversation with her, and she instantly knew who I meant!

Liz is not just friendly—she’s absolutely charming, with long blondish-red hair. Her customer service was incredible. She took our orders while keeping our chat lively and even helped me choose my meal. I asked for half tofu and half veggies, and I ended up with a bowl instead of a burrito, but honestly, I didn’t mind at all. The food was fantastic! Liz apologized for the mix-up, but I was just happy to dig into my meal.

The only downside? Parking can be tricky. But the location is super convenient, so I’ll definitely be back! Thanks, Liz, for making my visit so enjoyable!

Brittany was the first friendly face I saw when I walked in and from there she was absolutely amazing! She was very knowledgeable of the menu and extra items. Brittany was also very attentive and I’m grateful for her customer service. I am definitely coming back.

The food was absolutely amazing and I’ll rate my food a 10/10.

Went for Sunday brunch. They let us combine 2 tables for our party of 8. I got the Hulk. I knew when ordering it I would not be able to finish. It’s the heaviest burrito I have ever ordered. My wife and I got a to go container that was full. L. Service was fast. Staff was very friendly Grant and Liz rock. . Good beer selection for a restaurant. My wife recommends the mimosa with brunch. Sunday am we did not have issues with street parking.

If you loved the original – you will love the redux. Original owner Steve Justice came in to help them get the recipe’s right- and my favorite BBQ Chicken Taco is always perfect here. Will always miss the original – but this version is worth the effort to find the parking. Old school fans will not be disappointed.

The new owner brought back key features such as the checkered floor pattern and the comic book covered pole for the right touch of nostalgia. The logo remains the same but this version is in a newer building and so its a little less dingy and lived in than the original. Clearly a labor of love from someone else who loved the original location like so many of us did.

Tried Phat burrito on a Friday afternoon for lunch and the place wasn’t too busy. The hubs ordered a chicken, steak, and shrimp tacos while I ordered a burrito kids meal that came with a burrito, a side (which I chose chips and queso), and a drink. We also had an order of churros. I believe the total was around $25, with the kids meal being $8, which I thought was great. The churros were simply delicious. They are mini churros with no filling, and it comes with a caramel sauce. The hubs loved the shrimp and steak tacos, but wasn’t a fan of the chicken one. I truly loved the chips and queso and most likely will be back to get that, tacos, and the churros. I was not a fan of the beef burrito. It was bland. Just a heads up that the company does not accept cash, also parking is horrible as this location is located at the end with no direct parking attached to it. The atmosphere was great and we loved the staff. The lady that greeted us at the front was very knowledgeable and had great suggestions. We will definitely be back.
