This is by far the most warm and inviting wine shop I’ve ever encountered. They care about their regulars, have an encyclopedic knowledge of wine and are eager to help. 10/10 would recommend. Thanks guys!

8/2023 this place has become a local favorite. Perfect place to stop in for a glass of wine & let that summer breeze cool us down. Staff is always helpful. I chose a Rosé this time. It quickly became a favorite.
Jan/Feb 2023 Stopped by to check out this new wine store in Southern Village Market Street. Staff was helpful and explained how the wines are displayed currently – that will be changing in January – & what type of wineries they’ve partnered with. They also have a good selection for charcuterie boards. Good vibe.

Although the store has an eclectic (if limited) selection, the customer service is disappointing. I had received a nice Spanish red, purchased and Rocks and Acid, as a housewarming gift. When I went to open it, the cork crumbled. In my 40+ years of wine drinking, a crumbled cork has almost invariably meant the wine is compromised. That’s especially true of reds. In the few instances in the past when it was worth my time to return a compromised bottle, the store has apologized and replaced it. Not Rocks and Acid, despite the fact I carried the evidence — the remains of the crumbled cork — with me. In my view, inexcusable for a wine boutique.

Lovely neighborhood wine shop in southern village! All of the employees are so helpful and knowledgeable. I haven’t had a bad wine from here – they always have something special/interesting to choose from. I also love the ice bags they’ll put the wine in if you go to share a bottle with friends, so much so I bought one for home. It is always chilly inside (for the wine!) so bring a jacket if you plan to stay inside. Absolutely lovely to sit outside on their patio during spring/summer/fall!

The staff is friendly, knowledgeable, and always willing to provide great recommendations based on my taste preferences. I’ve discovered so many new favorites thanks to their expert advice. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, making it a joy to stop by whether I’m picking up a bottle for the weekend or searching for the perfect wine for a special occasion. I highly recommend this shop to anyone looking for quality wines!

We recently stopped in for a glass of wine and ended up staying for a blind tasting class led by the owner, Paula. Overall, a great experience. The staff was approachable, fun, and knowledgeable. We went home knowing a little bit more about wine and 2 bottles that we know we will enjoy :).

As you enter the shop, lined with wine from small wineries, Paula, Laura and staff will warmly greet you and offer assistance. Describe what you are looking for and they’ll find the perfect bottle. Trust them-they’ve introduced me to many wonderful affordable options over the year. The store carries an extensive selection of conservas (tinned fish) at reasonable prices. Check out the cheese & dried meat selection to make a truly interesting charcuterie platter.
I’ve attended several wine tastings there. The classes are well run, informative and encourage discussion.
The shop is kept at 65 degrees so dress appropriately if you plan to stay. It is a pet friendly place so don’t be surprised if one of the dogs come to greet you. It’s a pet friendly shop.
I want to address a comment where an individual felt the staff was rude to him & his group who were there while a wine tasting event was held. I was there for a wine tasting class once and there was a group who was loud and the speaker could not be heard. They were politely asked to speak softly. Being that it’s a small shop with high ceilings, the group probably wasn’t aware how their voices carried.
Go for the adventure and stay for a glass. You won’t be disappointed. Paula, Laura and Hannah are fabulous.

Great experience at this new wine shop. Owner was friendly and welcoming, and, most importantly, offered excellent recommendations for wines to pair with a special meal we had planned. She considered our food selections, usual wine preferences, and price point and made suggestions that pushed us a little outside our comfort zone. All of her recommendations were spot on! We loved the wines and had fun talking with her about them. I love that the store is dog-friendly and look forward to returning for a tasting and snack. A great addition to Chapel Hill!
