The food was great, but the service was terrible. For the first time in my life, I actually got out of my seat to go tell my server we were ready to order (he was sitting at a table with his face buried in his phone). Even paying took forever. Basically, the front of house staff were awful and the back of house staff were on point because the food was delicious.

Open on a Sunday evening. Very good food!!! Adan our server was exceptional. The chips are thin, crisp and warm and a nice spice on the salsa. we shared a regular chicken fajita plate. So so good. Great flavor. We each got 3 tortillas for a very small charge. Perfect amount of food for two seniors.

We waited 20 minutes before being waited on and that was after we ask. The food looked wonderful but seemed to made with old ingredients. Enchiladas tasted odd like the meat had been sitting for a long time,
Granted they were busy … but this is a well establish restaurant. Truly disappointed!

I had the cheese steak burrito and thought it was pretty good. The taco salad was nice. The chips were nice and flaky. The salsa was mildly warm. Service was good.

First time visiting. There weren’t many people there so I was seated quickly. Waiter was friendly and helpful. My order came out quickly and correctly, it was hot and fresh. Chips were thin, which made for difficulty in scooping guacamole. Guacamole was bland, seemed to only be smashed avocados. Queso was unexpectedly queso blanco. Unfortunately waiter didn’t check on me again until I flagged him for my check. All in all, a fair price for the amount of food, since I ordered plenty to take home leftovers.

I don’t think you can really blame the service when the restaurant fills up with tables of 10 to 15 party’s at a time. It is a family owned restaurant that serves the Toledo Bend area in several locations. They work hard and serve good food. In a isolated area.

I love recognizing a small town high quality restaurant…big city Tex-mex take notes, this is what a normal serving of guacamole and sour cream looks like! Great plate and place!

I’ve only had the burgers and I know burgers from a Mexican restaurant might be weird choice. However it’s the cheapest place around for burgers and it comes with fries. Are the French fries good not really but hey you’re saving money. The burgers are actually pretty decent. It’s just hit and miss. This time I had more bread than meat. Also there was tiny portion of fries. That is exactly amount I got. Not enough burger or fries.

Best Mexican in the area, hands down! Guacamole and margaritas are far better than what you’ll find across the lake in Hemphill. The Molcajete is large enough for two people; chicken and chorizo were great, but the beef was overcooked. Will definitely return.
