We thoroughly enjoyed starting our meal with the Pork Belly Bao Buns! The caramelized pork packed a punchy flavor and the aromatic herb topping rounded out the bite! We shared the Doragon Roll- the sweet and spicy sauces worked beautifully! The Hono-Maki roll with the dry chili garlic crunch topping was delicious!
We also enjoyed the sweet Hana Awaka sake- sparkling with a hint of sweetness.
Thank you for a beautiful brunch!
We went on a Tuesday and the restaurant was packed, yet everything felt smooth and unhurried. We were seated quickly, and Christian immediately made us feel comfortable and taken care of.
The small details really stood out — even the infused water with lime and orange made a difference. That kind of thoughtful touch is exactly why I keep saying perfect.
For food, we started with miso soup, followed by the tuna chip tartare — oh my god, incredibly flavorful. For sushi, we ordered the Dragon roll and Hono maki, and both were outstanding. So much flavor, amazing crunch, perfectly balanced meat and that spicy mayo and eel sauce just tied everything together beautifully.
We also got the yaki udon, which was excellent — great noodle texture and a rich, well-balanced flavor. Honestly, every single dish felt intentional and well thought out.
We were never rushed, the service was excellent throughout, and to finish, we had the Japanese cheesecake — light, fluffy, and honestly hard to put into words.
This was one of those dinners where everything just clicked. Highly recommend, and we’ll definitely be back.
Now for the food. We ordered the edamame, beef dumplings, bao buns, Mango Bliss, Hono-Maki, and Doragon rolls. Every single item was packed with flavor and beautifully prepared. The bao buns practically melted in your mouth, and we loved that each roll came with its own complimentary, thoughtfully paired dipping sauce that enhanced the flavors of the dish.
I would recommend this spot to anyone. I will absolutely be back, as it has officially become one of my favorite sushi restaurants
Our server Sara deserves a 10/10 for being a phenomenal waitress and guided us to make some good food choices and was so pleasant to deal with.
We dined on the Pork Belly Bao buns and they were so good we ordered a 2nd batch. We also had the Tuna Tataki and the Truffle Avocado both were delish. We still had room an ordered 3 rolls, the Mango Bliss, Lobster Delight and the Steakhouse Roll.
YOU HAVE TO ORDER the Steakhouse Roll!!!! WOW!
Definitely worth visiting this restaurant since it won’t disappoint and its worth the wait and $$.
Most notably, the fish list is extremely spartan: tuna, salmon, yellowtail, eel, scallop. That’s it. Lacking some common items you’d find most places, much less the more interesting stuff.
Quality of fish is good. Preparation of nigiri could be a little better; a bit heavy on the rice, and the rice was maybe a little dense or under-seasoned. Scallop nigiri with miso butter was a good flavor combination. Salmon with truffle oil and lime zest could have been really good but was overpowered by truffle; it doesn’t take more than a few drops with that stuff.
On a positive note I do like the space and atmosphere. It’s in a sweet spot that’s like nice enough to go for a date, but not too formal either. Solid, friendly service.
Some small tune-ups on the nigiri, and maybe a handful of off-menu specials, I think would pull this up to a 4/5 for me.
Service was great, one thing I’d say is management seemed to stop by a bit too much, nice a few times but it was like 5 times which I can’t really complain about.
