I have eaten a lot of hamburgers from a lot of different places and these were some of the best I have ever eaten. I always get my burger well done, and these were well done but still juicy with a nice grilled outside with just a bit of crunch and texture to make it perfect. The selection is really good. I had the Hawaii-five-0 and my wife had the breakfast burger. Both were fantastic!

I came here for a first date and was genuinely shocked by how poorly this place is run.
We were seated at what is easily the worst table placement I have ever experienced. There was a trash can inches from my date’s chair, a visibly damaged wall poorly patched with plaster, and my own seat was positioned over a filthy vent that prevented the chair from sitting flat or being adjusted comfortably. Meanwhile, an entire additional room with better seating was closed off for no apparent reason, and we were shoved into this hallway instead.
Service only got worse from there. Our waitress smelled strongly of weed and then proceeded to take roughly 45 minutes to bring out two burgers. Despite the long wait, she repeatedly interrupted our conversation every ten minutes to ask if I was ready for the check, to the point where we finally had enough. I walked my bill to the counter myself, paid, and removed my date from the situation.
The food was unacceptable, especially for the price. At nearly twenty dollars per burger, this place has no business serving what we were given. My date would not even touch hers, and I don’t blame her. The burger looked like it had been smashed by hand, complete with visible finger imprints. Mine arrived cold and raw in the middle while somehow being burnt on the outside. The tray presentation was fitting, because the food itself was slop.
Drinks were never refilled, and none of our requests were followed up on. The restaurant was not busy, and it was nowhere near closing time.
I’m honestly at a loss for how a restaurant can fail this hard at basic food service. I would not recommend this place to anyone, and I especially would not recommend it if you’re taking someone on a first date. Management needs to seriously reevaluate how this operation is being run.

I hate to even leave a review like this. Stopped in today for dinner. First time there in a few years. I can see I wasn’t missing much. Only about 3 or 4 other tables in there. The server took about 15 minutes to even greet us then another 10 minutes to get our drinks and food order. After about another 40 minutes our food finally came out. The burger and fries both cold. The fries so greasy they left a film of grease in my mouth. The burgers not any better. I work in the restaurant industry so I get it I know how it is but this was just ridiculous. Maybe new management is needed? Do not recommend at all!

Walking in the place seems really nice. The theme is older industrial but done right. Our food took an extremely long time to come out. My burger was cold, it was not that great. If the wait wasn’t so bad I would have rated it as a 3. The server was pretty nice and did a decent job as she was working the bar area and the dining room.

Harper’s Grill – Honest Review
Unfortunately, my experience at Harper’s Grill was very disappointing. The meat had an old, stale flavor, and the hamburger was extremely underdone even after requesting medium and well-done.
The steak Stromboli was horrendous, the meat wasn’t cooked properly, was incredibly greasy, and had a strange, liver-like iron taste. The steak on the steak salad was the same way.
I can’t fairly review the fries since I had to drive home slowly due to Halloween traffic, but overall the meal was a letdown.
On a positive note, the staff was very nice and polite, which made the experience a little better. Still, whoever is in the kitchen could really use some basic cooking lessons.
Very disappointing and would not recommend based on this visit.

My mother and I stopped here for lunch after being in the the area. We usually have our go to spots but wanted to try somewhere new and we were not disappointed at all by our decision to stop at Harpers. The service was phenomenal and our waitress was attentive and friendly. I got the Hawaiian 5-0 burger and my mom ordered the chicken strip basket. We both got waffle fries with our meals. The food was delicious and the servings were big—we both took home leftovers! The restaurant was very clean including the restrooms. We will certainly be back!

First time there, food was great. Recommend Hawaii chicken wrap and banana pepper burger, both excellent. Waitress was great and attentive even though we were in the back room with no other customers there. 5 stars across the board.

I’m not sure what happened with this place. It used to be on point every time. Perfect burgers with a delicious pickle spear on the side. Within the last year it has gone down hill. We have given multiple chances. Tonight we ordered Allegheny Mountain Burgers. What we got was a cheeseburger with bbq sauce on it. No onion strings. We ordered a specialty burger for a reason. Otherwise we would have ordered a regular cheeseburger with bbq sauce. The solution to the issue was an option to go pick up a side of onion strings to bring back home for our burgers. She did finally offer credit but not willingly. The time before that, our order was wrong and my husband had to drive back to get his correct burger. The time before that, my husband asked for a well done burger and it was not. It’s sad because the burgers seem to be good quality, just a lack of quality management. And of course no more pickle spears on the side I guess.

If I could give zero stars, I would. I’m pregnant, which means when I order food, I really need it to be right. I placed an order and not only was a burger missing, AND the condiments to go along w the chicken quesadillas but so were the pickle fries I was craving all day. Do you know how heartbreaking it is to sit there hungry, opening the bag, and realizing half of your food isn’t even there? After already driving back once to get the burger still did not receive the pickle fries and didn’t realize it til we had got home. Which should not have been a worry if you did your job correctly. Pregnancy cravings are no joke, and this place completely ruined my night.
