Reviews
Service is excellent. All the eemos take care of you like family. I don’t get the negative reviews about poor attitude and service. Maybe a misunderstanding due to cultural differences? Strange.
The parking is a bit of an issue. I can’t deny that. But that’s how busy this place is. Try going in spring during the day. The place is packed from all the people coming back from playing a round of golf.
If going at night, don’t park in the lower level garage as it is closed at 8:00pm.
This place is my family’s go to for excellent homemade Korean food. We often reserve the private section when having group dinners.
Parking can be hard to find in the evening, it gets pretty busy.
First, I ordered the aged kimchi pork belly stew. The portion size was incredibly small for the price. Looking at the menu, all the dishes were generally much more expensive than at other Korean restaurants. When you go to a restaurant, you should want to go back again, but I have absolutely no desire to return to this one.
Secondly, the service was terrible. The waitress only came to our table once, when she brought the food. She never once came to my table to check if I needed anything or if the food was okay. It was a truly awful dining experience.
Thirdly, I witnessed this restaurant recycling the lettuce wraps served with the barbecue meat.
After a group of customers finished their meal and left, I saw a waitress collect the leftover lettuce wraps separately and take them into the kitchen. Then she gathered the remaining side dishes and plates together and cleaned them up. After witnessing this, I asked a restaurant employee, “Does this restaurant recycle the lettuce wraps?” She said no.
So I told her that I saw the waitress collecting the leftover lettuce wraps separately and taking them into the kitchen. She then claimed that the restaurant disposes of the lettuce wraps separately in the kitchen. This explanation is simply an excuse. How can I understand that they throw away the other side dishes together but collect the lettuce wraps separately to dispose of them in the kitchen? This is a very unsanitary practice that violates hygiene regulations. The thought of eating someone else’s leftover food is something I don’t even want to think about. It was my first time at this restaurant, and I will never go back. The prices are very expensive, the service is terrible, and there are major hygiene issues.
I loved the side dishes plus the bbq. Soups were great too!
We ordered cold noodle. I give 4.5 out of 5,
Donjung jigge 5/5( sorry if the spelling is wrong )it comes with the bbq.
I will go again if I was around there
The barbecue had a rich yet balanced smoky flavor, and the texture of the meat was excellent. The brisket was moist and tender, practically melting in my mouth, and the marinated short ribs were perfectly seasoned and absolutely delicious. All the side dishes tasted carefully prepared, so you really can’t go wrong with anything.
The banchan were especially interesting—some were things I had never seen before, yet the flavors were surprisingly familiar for a Korean person like me. The kimchi tasted even more traditionally Korean than what I’m used to back home. Among all the sides, the yellow pumpkin salad stood out as my favorite.
For dessert, the sikhye was the highlight. It was clean, refreshing, and just sweet enough. Honestly, if they sold it separately, I would’ve taken a few bottles home.
There’s usually a wait during busy hours, but if you come a little early, you can enjoy everything comfortably. Overall, the food, the friendliness, and the atmosphere were all excellent. I’ll definitely be coming back.
Nothing that i hate more than bad food.
Rice and side dishes all tasted spoiled. The beef (glabi) was mid but everything else was horrendous. Didn’t get steamed eggs, and staff blamed that it was late.
Jesus? They grill our ribeye, duck meat and beef tongue on a hot plate? It’s fried lady, not grill. My friend ask them why, their answer is you need to order Korean bbq? What? Korean bbq? What the hell is that? We in a Korean bbq restaurant and we order expensive ribeye, beef tongue and duck breast, it’s still not Korean BBQ? Our check came out 360.00 plus
