Normally we order the Chicken Alfredo dinners (which are excellent). Today, we tried something new and went with the Pasta Italiano with meat sauce and a party tray. As you can see from the pictures the pasta is dry. The pizza was leaning or something and the toppings were slid to the left corner. I called to let them know the issues and the manager agreed to fix the mistake. About 5 minutes later the manager called back to say that they could only replace the pasta. This was because it would cost to much to replace. It was okay for me to spend $60 with a tip for delivery but not okay for a business to fix a mistake on their end. Had my situation been handled differently, I may have kept my business here. Unfortunately, they lost a loyal customer today.
Ordered a deep dish and the dough has no flavor and not good.
Breadsticks are lame and basically a sheet of dough cut in slices.
The spingouli was also bad and had a bad after taste.
The quality just isn’t there, unfortunately I won’t be back anytime soon.
I phone ordered for take out – small round pizza w mushroom & black olives. Ready in 15-20min at dinner time on a Saturday, great. I was concerened that it looked like loads of puree/sauce, and not hardly any cheese, because the sauce was blobbed on top… but it was not too saucy at all. $12.
A good amount of other toppings, and olives were cut thick. Perfect.
The crust in the Detroit area cracks me up: round, square, or thin! Ive seen shops that sell round OR square. Ive seen shops that sell thin, pan, hand tossed. I guess its good to have choices?!
My round dough was just less than 1/2 in thick, dense in a good way, but not to imply bagel consistence. I think this lended to the pizza feeling more substantial, filling, satisfying.
It was good. For the pizza Ive tried in the area, so far, I would return to this shop!
Update: it’s been 2 years and almost 5 million views of this review. I cannot believe the amount of views it has gotten! Unfortunately, I still live in California. My best friend lives in Michigan still and I plan on visiting soon.. this place has the best pizza in Michigan hands down!
