The pork in the the Roast Pork Lo Mein was tender and tasty, and the noodles and vegetables had a nice sauce that also flavored the rice well. I would definitely return for either of these dishes. The Chicken Egg Foo Young dish was dry, and had no apparent sauce. The roasted or rotisserie chicken was plentiful and tasty with the egg and vegetables, but the egg patties tasted more like a breaded chicken dish. After eating about half, the sauce was discovered in the bottom of the take out bag. It was disappointing because it seemed as if it were just thickened soy sauce. It was very salty and the chicken flavor was overtaken buy the soy.
The fried rice on both dishes held carrots, peas and onions with flavoring. It was delicious with the pork dish but didn’t improve the overly salty chicken dish. The entrees were very generous in portion size and very hot ever after about 45 minutes, as they were packaged well. I would definitely return to China Tastes, but try other dishes. The prices were very reasonable, and this order was from the combination menu. The lunch menu is very economic, and ends at 3 pm.
It’s strictly take out and that’s perfect for me, eating a good meal and watching TV at the same time –can’t get any better–. If you make your own rice at home you can use leftovers for a couple more meals. Now that’s a deal. 5 stars all the way
I ordered Pad Thai, I don’t think it’s their specialty.
It was way overcooked and sloppy .
