Had an excellent night out at the Edison. We were lost and looking for a place to eat, and as walk-ins we were able to get a table of 2 on a saturday night after a brief wait, thanks to the excellent host. Got the truffle fries and the butter burger pictured, probably one of the best burgers I’ve ever had. Alex was a fantastic server for our first time here, and even though it was very busy we were happily pleased by the service. Recommendations, refills, etc etc. Even with every table full, it never got too loud for conversation. I’d definitely come back.

I’ve dined here several times when visiting from Michigan. I was wowed the very first time. Food was outstanding and the entertainment trio preforming 40’s style big band music was excellent. Nothing has topped that first experience. The food has been great, the entertainment has still been pretty good….until my most recent visit. First thing I noticed is they changed the location of the stage. Not sure why. And the band was totally different. The female singer wore very little clothing, all black. Not classy at all. The music was a mixed bag and not the classic early 1900’s vibe that they’ve had it the past, that fit the whole restaurant vibe. The food was pretty good. Grilled cheese sandwich was huge, tomato soup was average. Spinach dip was good. The Edison fries are not the same either. Just plain steakhouse fries. Not the flavor bomb fries served in a mini fryer basket like in the past. My sister & I got a table with a bench seat and 2 chairs across. We ended up together on the bench because the chairs are terribly uncomfortable. Server was good. Food was served quick. We decided we won’t automatically choose The Edison in the future. The place has really gone downhill.

There is seating both inside and out side. The atmosphere is great and high end inside. The service was very good and the food was excellent. Many very good choices on the menu. We all chose very different things and they were all great. Some very cool and creative drinks.

The food as well as the service is simply amazing here. It was my boyfriend’s birthday dinner and they even had a birthday card signed by the staff on the table for him and a little birthday treat after dinner. We got the special for that evening which was a stuff deboned chicken with green beans and mashed potatoes served family style. It was absolutely delicious!!!!!

Great food and service. We had the house salad, steak frites, trout and the pigs in a blanket. The cocktails are fantastic.

Great happy hour deals.

We visited early in the evening (4:30) for my birthday because we had a concert after. The staff couldn’t have been more gracious from greeting us, to bringing a piece of birthday cake, and sending me home with a little gift. The food was absolutely perfect. We had the beet salad, stuffed chicken breast, weygu steak, and lemon ricotta cheesecake for dessert. The signature old fashioned is a must order. The restaurant is clean, warmly decorated, and laidback. Patrick was a fabulous host and Gillian gets my favorite server of the year award- she was so fun and never made us feel rushed. Great food and hospitality like nothing else in the area. We look forward to coming back and bringing friends.

Love having business lunches here! Perfect place to enjoy some good food and get some work done. Their boomin & bloomin cocktail is DELICIOUS too.

I’ve been here a few times and it’s always been fine. Nothing incredible but certainly not bad. My boyfriend and I went on Sunday evening and sat at the bar. We ordered the meatballs and squash salad which were both good. Then we ordered the ribeye to share. When I tell you this dish came out looking wrong immediately, I knew something wasn’t right. Meat looked grey, we ordered medium rare, and it looked like someone left it out for two days and then made it for us. We both took one bite to make sure and nearly spit it out (I should have). We sent it back to the kitchen and our bartender told us the chef tried it and said it was good. Fast forward to 3:30am and we both got sick. As I write this post on Tuesday morning, I’m still sick. I cannot believe a quality chef would feel comfortable sending out a $55 meat entree that looked like that and was clearly bad. I won’t be going back.

ADORABLE place with HORRIBLE food and bad wine list. The menu looked amazing, but everything we ordered was extremely disappointing. We each took one bite of the $40 fish and almost couldn’t swallow it. It was slimy and almost raw. The mussels were also very disappointing. And we could barely finish our $20 wines which both tasted like Yellow Tail. So we switched to their signature cocktails were the only decent thing of the night. Bottom line – great for drinks at the bar, but AVOID the food and wine at all costs!

I’m not easily impressed, but The Edison truly wowed us and warrants an all-around five-star review. Our dinner was a gift from our kids, along with tickets to the nearby Skylight Music Theater. I dare say our dining experience was the highlight of the evening.

The atmosphere was pleasant; the staff were uniformly attentive and accommodating. The menu was extensive and moderately priced. My wife, Joan, had the beet and Brussels sprout salad. I had Caesar. Both were perfectly constructed and so ample, they could almost have been entrees unto themselves. We followed with the Faroe salmon, which was done do perfection; slightly crunchy on the outside, flaky and flavorful on the inside and topped with a delicious lemon vinegarette sauce. We’ll most definitely be back to sample The Edison’s many other specialties.
