We have been in the area for 6 months now and have quite literally tried every Indian restaurant and takeaway in a 15km radius of us to try and find the “one” and this place is in a league of their own when it comes to flavour and customer care. We couldn’t fault a thing we’ve tried here. It’s rich, it’s authentic and so moorish. The owner has so much passion and care that it shows in the food you’re eating. Just go there or order on uber – we’ve done both and both hit the mark EVERYTIME.

Please be aware when dining here that this restaurant does not honour First Table in a fair or transparent way. I was charged $20 for a butter chicken, with the “half price” discount applying only to the curry sauce and meat — rice and naan were charged at full price, which was not made clear upfront. When I requested a receipt, following the experience, I was told, “I do not have to do that,” and the phone was hung up on me. The lack of professionalism and accountability is extremely disappointing. What used to be a place with good service has seriously declined. Very poor value for money and not a pleasant experience.

The staff were super friendly, attentive, and made sure we had everything we needed. The service was quick, and the atmosphere felt warm and welcoming — great for both dine-in and takeaway.
Their biryani and butter chicken were absolute highlights, and the naan was soft and fresh. Prices are also very reasonable for the quality.

The Spice Rack is my favourite Indian restaurant. The food is delicious, and the chef will provide dishes with nuances of heat, which has been fantastic when I want something between mild and medium. Service has always been friendly and helpful, and attentive without intrusion. It’s great for vegetarians and vegans, it has a quiet vibe and it is impeccably clean. Try the Bagharey Baingan on the chef’s specials menu. This restaurant deserves to be more well known.
