I am currently nursing my 2 month old baby who has cow’s milk protein allergy (aka I can’t have dairy). We went in to order and I said, “I want to do a build your own sub with grilled chicken. All I want on it is lettuce and black olives. So nothing else on it like dressing or any other toppings.” I went home and ate half of the sandwich without realizing that provolone cheese was melted into the chicken. My baby gets extremely sick with dairy and it can take a week or more to get out of a system because of the proteins that don’t break down. This means that now she will be miserable and have bad acid reflux and vomiting to the point where she chokes and can’t breathe. When I realized that I had eaten cheese, I couldn’t stop crying. I have been working really hard, avoiding foods that bother her only for it to be ruined carelessly. My mom ended up calling on my behalf because I was too upset, and very nicely let the supervisor know what happened and that they should be more careful because it has repercussions. The supervisor did not even apologize, and just insisted that unless you EXPLICITLY say “no cheese” then it will come with cheese – doesn’t matter that I reiterated multiple times that all I wanted on it was lettuce/black olives and nothing else. I don’t know the firehouse sub menu, so this may be true but they should have said “Oh, well it comes with cheese, do you still want the cheese?” Or something. Also the lack of remorse from the supervisor (even though it was handled nicely and we did not want it remade) was frustrating. DO BETTER!

Tim was such a treasure! And the young lady behind the counter was so well put together with beautiful braided hair! I called in my order and drove over from Dahlonega to fill this craving and I’m so grateful to Tim and the other staff for fulfilling right before close with such a Christlike attitude. We eat at the Dawsonville Firehouse quite often & they ALWAYS have the most delicious food! Every time we eat there, everything is super fresh & the bread, OMG SO fresh & soft like it was made right before we walked in. Their health department score is always 100 (perfection) which tells you that the owner/manager cares about their customers. A perfect 100 is hard to get & is very impressive. The place is really clean & the staff is friendly. Also, when I order a sandwich, I like it a certain way & they always get the specific details right. We will not eat at any of their competitors because, well, when you have the BEST, why go somewhere else! We LOVE the Hook & Ladder as well as the Engineer subs. Soups are GREAT on a cold day. Salads are ALWAYS FRESH! HIGHLY RECOMMEND Firehouse Subs in Dawsonville as they are CONSISTENTLY AWESOME! GREAT JOB Y’ALL!

Stopped in for lunch at this Firehouse location. I went with a different sandwich choice from a special they had today, a medium Reuben for $6.39.
Firehouse normally offers friendly service with a clean dining room and they are fast getting you your fresh made food after you order. This location was consistent in all those areas and is a place I will return when looking for a sub.

Very good sandwiches here. This location has very nice and friendly staff. Fresh tasting subs made quickly and correct. (Ordered food around 8:10pm) It was a takeout order and also was reasonably priced.

I’ve tried a couple things here but it just isn’t good. Every sub is super sweet somehow? I thought it was just the ham but the cheese steak and the turkey subs were also sweet. Is it the bread? What is it on these sandwiches that’s so sweet?! And one of the guys at the register was sort of rude. Normally that kind of stuff doesn’t bother me, but this time it did.

Foods fine but did an online order and when I got there the cashier was very rude when I asked where to pick up and then got home and my wife’s sandwich was just wrong. Why even have an order online thing if you don’t like people coming in for pick up and can’t complete a simple edit like leaving off the cheese. Looked to be a rather young staff who needed more supervision or someone checking behind them. Either way I’ll probably just not eat there again I can certainly live without it. Real shame, I have not had a bad experience at any other firehouse I’ve been to in the past.
