Came here for dinner w a bunch of girlfriends. Spontaneous night out but 1st dinner Saturday 8.24.25.
Had reservations, we were about 10-15 mins late so called to let the associates know.
Right when we got there, it was a full house. Had to wait 10-15 mins for our table.
Came almost close to end of day along soft opening so their menu was out with a lot of stuff.
Understandable since they did have a full house meaning it was pretty successful for soft opening weekend.
It’s a Japanese Italian fusion restaurant. I’m not too big fan of pasta so i was ok with all the food along w my girlfriend did say it needed more seasoning on majority all of their food. Not sure if it was just that night we went in to dine. But i felt it could’ve had more flavor to each dish. I’m familiar with Italian food especially it’s somewhat suppose to have a Japanese kick to it. Why i deducted 1 star since i didn’t love the food.
Customer service was top notch. We received our items in a timely manner.
The restaurant itself was really simple w nice green artificial greenery hanging from the ceiling lights decor.
Restaurant isn’t too big and can get pretty crowded easily.
Located next to Eastern Tales Thai tea shop with a lot of parking available.
Idk if this would be a restaurant I’d return since I’m not a fan of Italian food but would come if my friend’s choice to celebrate an occasion here.
Wishing much success to the restaurant though, looks like since I’ve gone there. A lot of foot traffic,
Just not really my cup of tea.
The service could use some improvement. Alan, the sole server, managed to handle nine tables and two large parties of six without completely losing it. I commend him for his exceptional performance. I would definitely return, but I hope the service has improved by the time I go back.
Foccacio Bread which was fresh baked, and the side of butter which made it stick out. I normally would not order bread when eating out since it’s a filler item, but this was great.
Additionally The Buta (pork) bowl was the one with the strongest flavor, but it’s so strong it I would eat it last and recommend eating with the bread to shoe the sauce and flavors.
Clam Chowder (9/10): Beautifully balances flavor, slightly sweet and not too fishy at all. Unlike traditional clam chowder, there are bits of carrot that really elevate it. Not a very shareable portion, but delicious nonetheless.
Miso Bacon Carbonara (9/10): Unsurprisingly, the pasta here is hand-pulled in house, and it was prepared to a perfect al dente. The combination of the miso sauce and yolk was tasty, though I would have liked it to be creamier and a little thicker. There is a chili pepper on the menu, but it was not very spicy at all.
Cream Corn Pasta (11/10): This is my new favorite pasta dish EVER! The combination of chimichurri, lemon zest, and cream was meticulous balance of flavors. The pasta itself was absolutely perfection and the texture was like it was just made minutes ago. The asparagus was a nice touch and the corn bites were so bright and sweet. I will dream about this for weeks.
Ice cream (8/10): To preface, I know they are continuing to perfect the flavors and texture of the ice cream, but even in its developmental stages, all three flavors were delicious. For matcha lovers, this dessert is perfect – not sweet at all (aside from the honey) and strong in the authentic matcha flavor. The coffee ice cream was strong in flavor and not too sweet at all; the egg cream on top was such a highlight. The brown butter miso ice cream was so creamy and unique in flavor, especially because it balances sweetness with saltiness.
Additionally, the prices are so reasonable for fresh, high quality food. I was shocked at my total bill, especially because other restaurants like Kei Concepts would charge an extra $5-10 for the same food.
On top of all the delicious food, the service was great – my water was never empty and the food came out pretty quickly. Everyone also seemed knowledgeable on the menu when we asked about things. In these early stages, I highly recommend trying this place out, and I know I’ll be returning soon!
