We are back in TTown now, and Ermas was our first restaurant we went to. They didn’t disappoint. Authentic food. Taste homemade. And, they are festive! Christmas decorations up everywhere.

It’s the only restaurant that has been serving meals for almost over 40years to the community of Tolleson.
It’s ran by mostly women. Friendly and kind.
I know they are things they can do to improve their service to be more convenience and professional.
Some helpful tips management can do is:
1. Kindly include napkins, utensils in the bag for to go orders. Like 4 napkins a small salsa in a container.
2. Replacing the toilet paper, hand soap and paper towels to a commercial dispenser.
3. NEVER ASK a CUSTOMER TO LEAVE a TIP it’s just BAD For BUSINESS PURPOSES. ( It’s Base on How well you can provide friendly customer service.
4. Offer more then Coke Product such as Dr Pepper, Sprite, Coke Cola, Pepsi, Jarritos, Squirt.
5. Install a door bell alert so you know when customers have enter the dining room or a security camera monitor screen so everyone in the kitchen can see if there’s customers or not.
6. Other than that offer new combinations of meals like barbacoa /birria tacos or quesadillas tacos, or soups de birria* this is hitting the restaurant a lot more $$$
7. Carne Asada Nachos, chili cheese fries de carne asada.
8. Add another restroom.
9. A happy customer can tell one person. But a customer who been here for years can tell over 5,000 fans that the service is bad. Other than that I give you guys a 80% it’s not bad but I know you guys can do better in 2026.

I was recommended to try the red chile burrito here, so here we go.
I invited my family out for this one, it was a three cars meeting up. It was empty when I arrived, and the staff seemed a little pushy about ordering, probably because there wasn’t anyone else there. I let them know it was our first time. I already knew what I wanted, but the rest of the group needed to show up and have time to check out the menu.
They have lots of options, though sadly, no appetizers section. I love the whole “pick at a few appetizers, then take the rest home” experience. They do offer complimentary chips and salsa. I preferred the red over the green, but it was a bit watered down.
I ordered the Red Chile Burrito, it was okay. Plenty of shredded red beef, but I personally prefer more chile than meat. The salsa was decent, though I needed to add a little salt. The rice was delicious, and the beans were good too.
They don’t offer free refills, and there’s no soda fountain, just cans. But they do have agua frescas, and those come with cheaper refills than soda, which is a plus.
The staff was very polite and attentive. Even though it was slow, we never felt forgotten, which I appreciated.
**Now for the best part:** I came for the burrito, but I loved the sopes! I usually don’t like restaurant chorizo; go ahead and judge me, but I prefer the pork chorizo from the tube over the brick-style stuff. Most places make it too dry. But their Chorizo Sope, easily my favorite! If I ever crave a chorizo sope, I’d definitely come back just for two of those with rice and beans. The burrito has officially left the chat—for me, at Irma’s.

Red Chile burrito is over rated. It lacked flavor and the tortilla didn’t taste that great. Carne asada nachos were trash. Carne tasted old. Customer service was worse all the two ladies that worked there did was talk to each other and eat. I had to interrupt their conversation to ask for a box.

Nothing special overall. The food was fine—nothing bad, but nothing that really stood out or would bring me back. The place felt a bit plain, both in flavor and atmosphere. That said, the woman who cooked, served, and rang us up was genuinely lovely. Her friendly attitude and hard work were definitely the highlight of the visit.

Cute little mom and pop type of style restaurant. Always seen it growing up but i finally went have herd good thinsg from family and friends. Its very authentic and eveything is very lightly seasoned like how my grandma used to cook. I got the chile relleno that had a yummy crisp outside with a nice cheese. I also got the caldo de res & it was very natural and light not to greasy that i love. My mother got the chilaquiles verdes with two sunny side up eggs and they were phenomenal !! Its very affordable & laid back. I’m used to a bit finer restaurants but this is very old school damily authentic.

So me and my friend wanted breakfast, my friend suggest Mexican and Googles to see what’s around. This place pops up, lookin like a mom and pop shop, when we pulled in, because of the area I almost felt like we were going to either die of food poisoning, or have the best and most delicious food we’ve ever experienced. So we go in, sit down, this nice lady comes up takes our orders and scampers back to the kitchen. I continue the conversation with my friend, and look through the window into the kitchen only to realize our server was pulling down pans!! She was our chef too! Immediately I knew we were about to feel like we were guests in her house with a piping out home cooked meal in front of us! WOW were we ever blown away!! It was so good, we will 10/10 be back, and my friend also said that the dish they got, they discovered in Mexico recently, and when they had it here they felt like they were transported back to Mexico. Absolutely phenomenal!

One of the worst restaurants I’ve ever eaten at. We were there a few days ago with my friends. We ordered two beef soups and a carne asada burrito. The burrito was bland, the meat was literally flavorless. It was just a tortilla filled with meat cooked several days before. The soups were, needless to say, reheated, and the meat was very tough, as if it were several days old. There’s a saying that goes, “In your restaurant, cook and serve the food as you would like to be served.”
