My heart is broken and I am disappointed. I understand they need to keep up with inflation, but I didn’t expect SUCH a price hike. I can’t eat here as often anymore. This place is now competing against Omakase places like Sado and Indo. I can’t give them less than 5 stars for food or service because the FOOD is good and the service is amazing, but this has really went from a diamond to just another bougie Japanese restaurant like many others that I can just eat in Chicago, Boston or New York. Really lost a lot of its charm.
I’m sad but I will still recommend people to eat.
Prepare to wait a bit. I was seated quickly at the counter. Before I ordered, the waitress advised me there was a wait for the fresh made sushi rolls. Totally worth the 10-15 minute wait. I had a seaweed salad and sipped prosecco in the meantime.
Will come back asap!
CONs: Street parking only. Small establishment with no waiting area (which means people will be standing directly behind you while you’re eating).
Approx $55 (before tip) we ordered Chicken Teriyaki, Alaskan Roll & Rainbow Roll. This is a place we will return to when we stroll through again.
My husband and I stopped by the restaurant last Thursday February 12th about 5 minutes prior to their 5:00 dinner service. There was a sign on the door that there was no lunch service on Feb 13th but they would be open for dinner that day. No mention that they weren’t open on Thursday.
We waited until 5:10 and noticed no lights were on. Two other couples also stopped by and realized the restaurant wasn’t open. All of us walked away disappointed. I’m not sure we would return unless the owner provides a valid explanation for no dinner service on February 12th.
