We arrived in Maine a week ago and have been enjoying the local cuisine — from fresh oysters and lobster rolls to lazy lobsters and more.
For the last couple of days, we’ve been staying near 727 Ocean Sunset Bar, and we decided to give it a try. Tucked away in a quiet corner with absolutely stunning views, this place ended up being the highlight of our trip — both for the food and the service. A big shoutout to Roxxie, who made our experience even better with her warm and attentive service.
We ordered the ribeye with mushroom sauce (10/10), the blood orange and maple salad (delicious!), and the seared scallops. Everything was cooked to perfection. For dessert, we shared the blueberry crisp — and wow. Just wow.
We’ll definitely be coming back tomorrow for another round. This place is a gem.

Definitely enjoyed celebrating my birthday for couple of days at Smuggler’s Cove Inn. Kiwi one of the owner’s sons was very polite and helpful. I loved having access to a private beach. The sunset views were amazing. We enjoyed the pool, fire pit, and playing Cornhole. There is a pier and kayaks if interested in using. Also, having a great tasting free breakfast buffet at the onsite restaurant with an amazing view just added to the experience. Looking forward to staying there again…

We had a lovely stay at the Smuggler’s Cove Inn. The property is stunning with a beautiful view of Linekin Bay from seemingly every room. Our children loved using the pool, kayaks, paddle boards, and fishing from the dock. Our room was updated and comfortable. Breakfast was complimentary each morning and the spread was delicious…a nicely upgraded version of chain hotel continental breakfast. The family who owns the resort were very accommodating and we had the sense that they truly wanted their guests to feel comfortable and to have a great experience. Highly recommend!

Great fun on Sunday night with outstanding music by Boogie2Shooz.
The food was exceptional. Had the cioppino on west coast that Food Channel said was the best. This was much, much better. The desserts were heavenly.
Wish I lived closer.
Kudos for great evening. Thanks!

What a delightful dinner! We are guests at the hotel and opted to dine in. It was nice to not have to drive to a dining destination. The food was excellent and the service was great! Portion sizes were large and well priced. We highly recommend this restaurant!
We ate on the outdoor deck and were able to enjoy water views in a beautiful and peaceful setting. We will definitely return next vacation!

We were staying at the attached hotel (Smuggler’s Cove Inn) and decided to pop in the restaurant for dinner. Best decision ever. We ordered the lobster roll and scallops special and both were just delicious. We cleaned our plates. Our waitress was wonderful, just so pleasant, even though she was juggling several tables and the bar. Service was quick, the food was hot and the view was just perfect. We will be planning a return trip.

Well I was pleasantly surprised by this place. The restaurant is part of a hotel/motel but it sits up above most of it and has recently been renovated. The dining room was open and clean with big windows looking out on the water. We sat on the deck and had a young waitress that made us laugh. She was very nice, a bit sassy, and took care of us very well. We had salads and appetizers and they were top notch. Very good!!

Loved the location and our room had a wonderful view. The bar area was very, very nice and the bar attendants and the band were a highlights. The deferred maintenance was the downfall. The railing to the second floor rooms were scary. No hand railings so you had hold on to the vertical railings. They were all rotting. So very dangerous. The bathroom molding and caulking was very poor condition. It is always difficult to maintain this close to a water location. The room and view were exceptional.
