I had the privilege of getting to visit Smokee’s during my visit to Asheville. I wish I could give it one million stars! Jordan and Melanie were most welcoming and charming and made me feel like I was at home in their restaurant.
Smokee’s creates the perfect environment and food to reminds us all that a meal is nourishment not just for the body, but also the most important way to connect with loved ones. Sitting to have a meal at this restaurant, be it in their quirky dining room or the magical backyard, is an exercise in healing the inner child. The dining room is so cute and there are all types of fun things to look at and play with. But it’s obvious that there is intention and thought to every detail – The passion these folks have for their restaurant and for their community is obvious through the many heartwarming stories behind everything from the name of the restaurant, the decorations throughout the space, their journey to opening up a brick and mortar space, and even the names of the items on the menu. It was really heartwarming to see this place as a culmination of so much hard work and so many years of dedication and passion.
I was able to try a few of their sandwiches and their tomato soup. Everything from the bread to the sauce and the meats was perfect – perfectly cooked, perfectly balanced flavors, and perfectly served. I will have dreams of their breakfast sandwiches for the rest of my life. It slapped so hard.
The food they make is so simple and yet so delicious that I can think of only one possible explanation for how they are able to create these dishes: these folks are honest, hard working, and put everything they have into their restaurant and food. Smokee’s is a labor of love and that’s why it is so special.
I hope Melanie, Jordan, and everyone who has worked hard to make Smokee’s what it is today is proud of what they’ve done. Thank you for sharing your delicious food and beautiful space with the world!

Very friendly staff, immaculate interior, great food. This was my first time and I loved that I could get a breakfast sandwich and a chicken cutlet sandwich. The Big Parma and Ham Jam were both very good. The inside is small and parking is right off of the road, but don’t miss out on this great spot.

Gem!!! What do you need after you work out at the @ymca or @ashevillecommunityyoga?? The friendliest place in town! My hubbie got the hash brown casserole with a yummy, jammy egg and I got a grilled cheese on homemade focaccia with @coopercheese and cheddar – with tomato soup with a KICK! This is REAL food, made with love from a local biz that you should visit. I usually don’t “clean my plate” but I couldn’t help myself. And, If you eat meat- you will be in heaven , and they are also working on some interesting vegan and vegetarian options to serve our community too!

Hands down, the best sandwiches in town! I have had the wake n bacon and it was absolutely phenomenal. Then I had a thick mister and it is my favorite sandwich! The runny egg with the sausage gravy, the flavors together are indescribably amazing! Everything is so fresh and perfectly made. I’m hooked and can’t get enough!

I don’t remember what my dish was called But it was a take and biscuits and gravy. but it was a focaccia bread with sausage gravy, eggs, cheese and bacon on it.. And OMG The bacon!! so flippen good. The service was top notch! Super fast and friendly. We went mid week and it was quite, I am sure come weekends that place is packed. If you are in the area do yourself a favor and stop and get a sandwich.
