What I love about this place is that the staff and the quality of food never changes. I have been taking my parents here for years but recently, for various other reasons, we haven’t visited as frequently. It was really nice to see that the staff was the same and the quality of the food was as good as ever. We frequented this restaurant both before and after covid, and it was amazing that the quality of food was never sacrificed in this day of increasing food prices. Unfortunately the same cannot be said about many of the chain restaurants in this area. Keep up the good work.

On a hot night I didn’t want to cook, so I picked up takeout for the house- prompt service, the order was correct, reasonably priced diner style food. The one eating dinner was pleased. Easy access on lower Main Street, sufficient parking.

I started to go to these places cause the food is prepared fresh and it is better too. I am tired of franchises that everything is prepagaged nothing is fresh and it hasn’t been good for years , I am going to support the mom and pop resterauts they are a lot better and cheeper for what you get.

I’m incredibly embarrassed to say I’ve lived near Chambersburg for over twenty years and this place has escaped my attention. It must be the grungy location.
Our server was an absolute sweetheart and was exactly what I wanted in an old school small restaurant.
My omelette was incredible and I’ll be back for that breakfast! Yum. I’m still excited about it a week later! The home fries were crispy and amazing, EXACTLY how I like them.
The place could use a little upgrading.
The prices were reasonable in today’s steeply climbing financial climate.

We’ve been to Johnnie many times, usually the food is great. Today we went there just to have salad, the last time I visited, 2 weeks ago, the chefs salad was great, fresh veggies, with House Dressing. Today we got 2 chef salads and 1 Greek. We were really disappointed when they arrived at our table. The greens weren’t crispy, and the tomatoes were meh

Food was delicious and came out fresh . Our waitress was very friendly and made sure to check up on us to see if we needed anything and fill my sweet tea. Got the chili and chicken salad sandwich with fries my boyfriend got hamburger steak with mashed potatoes and gravy and rice we both enjoyed our meals will definitely be back when in area .
