June -2021 – I went here during the Union Farmers Day and they were out of everything but a few items the staff told me. This was on the first day of the Union Farmer Day event. That is very poor management to be out of food that early. So I ordered what they had, a sandwich with sausage and it was horrible. I couldn’t even finish it. The waitress I had was very young so maybe this is why she didn’t do a good job or the lack of training but she was way under par as a server. I had a bad experience here this time so I’m dropping my rating from a 4 to a 2.
2018 – I ordered a pork loin, baked potato, salad bar and bread. Everything was really good. The pork loin was slightly to done (a little dry) but still very good. The service we had was extremely good. She done a very good job checking on us and taking care of our needs. The place was very clean. The environment was a very relaxed type environment. Overall I recommend to others to try this place out. I gave a four-star instead of five-star just because the pork loin was slightly dry.

This Tavern is beautiful!! The service was the most outstanding! Everyone my husband & I spoke to was truly amazing!! They found 2 very loyal customers here!! Defiantly going back very soon & the food was out of this world delicious!! We can’t wait to go back!!!

I was expecting another crappy hamburger. I ended up with swordfish and crab way above my expectations. 22 dollars for the main course is slightly high for a one-horse town. I could have driven an hour further to pay a little more, but it could not tast any better. Extremely tasty, well worth it. I will return. I do recommend.

Was there for class reunion that was booked months in advance. Ran out of food for the main course and desserts. Very poor planning on the restaurants part. Poor set up. Food wasn’t that great either. I couldn’t recommend. I hope they learn to plan better. I do wish them well.

Beautiful, recently remodeled country tavern interior. Friendly and caring staff members are also quite competent. Quite limited beer and wine selections. Good food and atmosphere. Music for holidays inside and for weekends on the deck.

Drove 30 miles to dine at hall tavern. Great atsmosphere and waitress was very sweet. BUT $20 Ribeye ordered med rare came out well done. Had to wait for another steak to be cooked while my husbands dinner got cold. Next ribeye was closer but too tough to eat. Brought it home for the dogs. Expensive dog food. Was told that the chef as from the greenbrier and had a steak doneness chart on the wall. I know why he isn’t at the greenbrier anymore. Couldn’t get timely refills although there were plenty of waitresses. Was told when ordering to save room for their wonderful homemade desserts. Check was brought without asking if we wanted dessert or refills to enjoy while we listened to the music. So we paid and left. Will not go back. Do not recommend.
