Beautiful experience at Khow Thai on a Friday afternoon. Tom Yum soup with shrimp, Pad Woon Sen with shrimp and Basil Fried Rice were some of the best I’ve had in 6 states. You can feel the kindness and love of the craft in every bite ❤️

First off I felt so special because the hostess also was the one who cooked our food, and that afternoon we happened to be the only guests , so it was like a personal chef. I really appreciated that.

The food was delicious! Big portions as well. The leftovers were even better the next day ☺️
Some of the best Pad Thai and loved the sticky mango rice. It was very satisfying and yummy.

I was in the area for a quick work trip, and I had a friend recommend this restaurant to me. I’m so glad she did!! The ladies working here are so sweet and kind!! To me, the service alone at any establishment can make all the difference. Secondly, the food was not only ready VERY fast, but it tasted phenomenal! Additionally, I loved the thoughtfulness of the Togo packing of my sweet sticky rice (I’m not a mango fan and the girl gladly accepted my request to make it without). If I’m ever in the area for work again, I will certainly be stopping here again!

This place is pretty good. The service was great. It is a bit pricey for thai, but I would say pretty much worth it. The peanut sauce is a must with the spring shrimp rolls. The drunken noodles were ok, not the best I have had. We also got some random free soup that was a bit spicy but delicious. I recommend checking it out and the Thai hot is just how hot you think it is.

This was a great place for a quick, tasty lunch just a short walk from campus. The lunch specials are an amazing bargain especially since the food is cooked to order and fresh. We had the pad Kee mao (drunken noodles) and the pad prik king. They were served with a cup of soup and an egg roll. Servers were quick and friendly. Only wish there had been more chicken in the noodle dish.

This has always been a “must” visit during my trips to Boulder. The staff is wonderful and helpful. The food is delicious! Highly recommend.
As of 7/30/25, they are closing their physical restaurant and only operating as a carry out venue. I’m not sure of their new location for carry out or when they will establish at a new physical location for dining in.
I rated “atmosphere” as 3/5 because the dining area does feel very dated/shows it’s age and a bit shabby. Still, that does not at all diminish my recommendation for dining their and enjoying their cuisine!

This is my favorite restaurant ever. When I lived in Fort Collins, I’d drive the 1.5 hours to Boulder literally just for Khow Thai. I recently moved out of Colorado and the No. 1 thing I’m looking forward to when I go back for Christmas is having the chance to return to Khow Thai. I’ve never been let down by any of their dishes; my favorites are the pad see ew and the larb. Their food makes me feel so refreshed and nourished. If I ever become a millionaire, I will buy a house down the street and eat here every day.

I think that the sign on the front of the store says it all: “Best Thai Restaurant of 2017.” There is something authentic-tasting about the food, though its preparation needs some work. The Pad Kee Mow was really delicious, though it has some very large bits and some smaller bits that are at different levels of doneness. The noodles themselves are perfectly cooked and seasoned, I think that this is the dish you should try. The red, yellow, and green curries are also decent, kind of on the watery and less-curry-flavored side compared with others in Boulder. The rice feels like low quality rice from China, not jasmine rice. Not much chicken in the curries, and some big chunks of eggplant that just don’t go with the rest of it. Not enough coconut milk in the curries to keep them from being soupy. Generally it all feels uneven; unevenly cooked, cut, and seasoned, but with some flashes of deliciousness inside.
