We went for Kevin Wilson’s music and was extremely surprised by how good the food was. I’ve had hundreds of Ruebens, this is my go to judging sandwich and theirs is now in my top three. My wife said the hamburger was very good as well… No frozen patty here! All this on top of great service in a comfortable old school bar with live music, I was in my glory. We will be back soon!!

Ordered Fish and chips and when you bit into the fish the batter was okay yet when past the batter the texture was pasty and the fries were under cooked and too much seasoning.

The atmosphere felt dated and could use some freshing up with the smell as well as the decor.

The food was good. I had a Reuben and it was just fine. They have a good selection of beer on tap. Good prices. The fries were very tasty and generous in portion. I would go back without hesitation. There are three doors in the back parking lot area. Go to the left to the Side Bar entrance. This is a family business and not a mega cookie cutter place. They have some rough edges, but a pleasant place overall.

Actually I couldn’t tell you anything about the place because my SIL made sure to publicly humiliate her brother and I by excluding us from the family event. This occurred in front of the filled dining hall. Thanks Diane Busch.

Service was terrible. Three large groups were sat simultaneously. Too few servers. Kitchen couldn’t keep up. One table finished eating while the other two tables had not even been served.

Overpriced for the atmosphere and food.

The place looks a little worn out. This was our first time coming here for dinner during the week. I came with friends. We got the Reuben rolls and they seemed a little greasy and just OK the dressing used with it with a little sour tasting.

My steak bites and onion rings were cold. One served to the touch which was surprising. When I Let the waitress know she did remedy it by bringing it back and throwing it in a hot pan to warm up. The steak bites were not well seasoned but tender.

I got the anti pasta salad and I would not recommend it only because they literally just cut flat pieces of lunchmeat into strips and threw it on top. And the ham look like black forest lunchmeat slices. So they’re definitely not a place that makes a decent anti pasta salad.

My friend said her fish and chips were good. And the fries seemed like they were hand cut and fresh . So I would recommend that

My other friend got a chicken dish which she said was delicious.

For the worn out atmosphere and uncomfortable seating I think their prices are a little too high. We did sit on the I guess the hall side. And not the bar side. The bar side look like a typical bar and it seems like it has some people over there. But the Seating seemed high chairs along the bar. Where we want to sit at a table.

The waitress was nice. But overall, I thought it was cold and dark and uncomfortable and worn out. I would not come back. But I don’t think it’s a A bad restaurant. I just didn’t enjoy myself.

If we had to chose one place to eat out, this would be it. It’s a neighborhood bar with fine dining food, at very reasonable prices. I’ve paid twice as much for the same dishes at local fine dining restaurants; and Sidebar food is as good or better. The baked cod for Lent is so well seasoned and cooked, delicious doesn’t do it justice.
