I had a really pleasant dining experience with Parker! He was really nice, fast, attentive, and have a thorough knowledge of the menu.
Jose was very friendly, fast and attentive!

The food was amazing! I had the seasonal lettuce which was really refreshing, the roasted mushroom was delicious and smoky, and the pork belly was tasty! I would definitely come back!

Brunch at Cedar + Elm offers a relaxing Pacific Northwest dining experience set inside the beautiful Lodge at St. Edward State Park. The atmosphere is elegant yet comfortable, with large windows and scenic surroundings that make it feel like a peaceful escape from the city. The menu focuses on seasonal, locally sourced ingredients, and standout dishes like eggs Benedict, and fried chicken sandwich are flavorful and thoughtfully presented. Service is attentive, and the cocktails and drinks complement the meal well. While the menu can be somewhat limited and prices lean toward the upscale side, the quality of the food and the stunning setting make it a great spot for a brunch with friends.

It’s good quiet hotel restaurant, vine map is good, same for coffee, teas, small but nice selection of beer. Breakfast and lunch options for food are limited but strong. Steak salad and burger were really good.
What can be better is interior, while it’s nice it’s a bit too simple and cold. Although I do like big windows and outside views to park. On a workday there were few occasional clients, so it’s quite and their music is good, not loud. Service was good too, nothing special but just good.

We stumbled upon the Lodge at St Edward by chance and boy are we glad we did! We had such a lovely experience at cedar & elm, the lovely restaurant at the lodge. We indulged in brunch in the morning which was terrific, we shared 3 dishes all of which had so much flavor. The service was wonderful as well. Then, we had a really outstanding experience doing their tasting menu for dinner with Chef Luke! All the courses were truly spectacular and just packed with flavor. I especially loved and appreciated the care chef Luke and his team took for my husbands allergies and for my state of being pregnant, making such nice accommodations. I appreciate how much of the herbs and garnish were from their awesome garden outside and how the produce is locally sourced. We hope to come back soon! The atmosphere was also just special, it was the perfect blend of old meets new, with this beautiful historic building and fresh decor. If you haven’t already been here, add it to your list.

PS – the French fries at the bar outside of Cedar and Elm were probably the best fries I have ever had. We did not try them yet at cedar and elm but I would imagine they would be amazing.

This restaurant is open to public. They serve good foods. The staff, he is friendly, professional, and helpful. Atmosphere is quiet and uncomfortable. Have a brunch or lunch before or after a trail walk in the park is really enjoyable. The gift shop and the art gallery across the restaurant is also open to public for free.

Service couldn’t have been better. The food was adventurous, playful, and delicious with the most beautiful plating I’ve seen. Drinks were top-notch and photo-worthy. I am NOT someone who takes food photos but I made an effort here. Was my partner’s birthday…. had the most unique birthday dessert made….. inspired by the chef who just plucked the ingredients fresh from the garden on-site. We asked for a list of the ingredients–I included a picture. Recommend for a truly special meal in a beautiful, slightly off-the-beaten-path spot. Salish, a similar lodge/high-brow restaurant, is much closer to our home but just doesn’t compare when it comes to the menu.

This review is specifically about the tasting menu offered Th-Sat nights for dinner. I was delighted to see the vegetarian option as my Mom is veg as it’s hard to get a whole menu of thoughtfully prepared veggie dishes. Allergies and diets were double checked ahead of time with us. The food was so thoughtful, creative, beautiful presentation and cooked with love. I do appreciate a chef with a deep respect for cabbage and mushrooms! Each course was delicious, well paced and had amazing service from staff. I will definitely come back for more food from Chef Luke. The tasting menu is the way to go!

After exploring many restaurants during our week in Seattle, Cedar + Elm truly stood out as a gem. Hands down, it was the best quality food we had all trip — fresh, flavorful, and thoughtfully prepared.

We enjoyed breakfast, brunch, and dinner here, and each meal was consistently excellent. You can really taste the difference — much of the produce comes directly from the chef’s on-site garden, which adds a level of freshness that’s hard to beat.

The atmosphere is warm and inviting, and the service matched the food quality. If you’re visiting the Seattle area and looking for a memorable farm-to-table experience, Cedar + Elm is a must.

Absolutely outstanding! From start to finish, our experience was top-notch. The quality of the food was exceptional and everything was cooked to perfection and beautifully presented. Our favorite dishes of the evening were the glazed pork belly and steak frites; both were rich, flavorful, and perfectly seasoned.

The atmosphere was warm and inviting, making it a wonderful spot to relax and enjoy a meal. We can’t wait to come back and try more of their menu and hopefully next time we can book a staycation or a long weekend!

Beautiful restaurant inside historic building and great views.

I was very pleased to find this spot for lunch. I usually check other people’s reviews and photos, and this one had really good comments and the food looked great.

I tried the fresh juice (pineapple recovery) and it was delicious. We also ordered the crispy chicken sandwich and the mushroom frittata.

The frittata was nicely presented but it was a little bland. The sandwich had great flavor but the meat portion was quite small.

Overall, we had a pleasant experience. The service was kind and professional.

I’d love to go back.
