Overall, great food, great service, great ambience, great price. This restaurant is going to be my go-to place in town from now on.
Great quality, great flavour, and a smooth overall experience. We’ll definitely be back the next time we’re craving sushi!
From the fresh and tasty sushi, the dim sum, the Tsao chicken and fried rice to name a few, all have been delicious. Not one complain so far
The food was mediocre with somethings that can be improved on. We started with garden salad, the lettuce was sitting in water with dressing on top as if they just washed the lettuce without removing excess water. The hot and sour and Tom yum soups were not bad. Beef skewer was flavourful but it was very tough. We ordered two piece of asparagus with bacon, one piece of the asparagus they used was the tough end and very chewy. The seafood Pad Thai was pretty good with a few tiny shrimps. Tempura flavours were good, loved the pumpkin and tofu. Shrimp tempura looks good, but it was all batter with tiny shrimp inside. Spicy tuna roll, I think it was mixed with canned tuna the colour and taste was off. We ended the meal with fried cheese mochi, it was really good.
The service was good, the food came fast, they cleared the dishes promptly.
The food was excellent, I had some General Tao chicken and it was cooked very well. Crisp but not with those gross shards some other fried chicken sometimes has.
The venue is super small, so if you’re coming with a group of more than four I would call ahead. I loved the atmosphere though, and the decor wasn’t overpowering or tacky. The waitress we had (had blonde hair, I didn’t get her name) was super great, always came for our plates when they were empty.
Sushi was delicious too, though my only complaint is it took longer than I would have liked. We had already finished the non-sushi items and didn’t have any sushi, then two plates came and one never did. Not a big deal as everything else was filling and we were there just before the lunch menu closed so they might have been in transition.
The sushi for the lunch menu was also kind of limited, even though I knew lunch had a more limited menu, I would like to see more special rolls on it.
I grew up in Paris and would have loved to have this place back in the day. The issues I had were minimal and didn’t affect the meal or experience. Probably the best sushi buffet in the area imo, as Joy is ungodly expensive and the others are a la carte and pricey. I would definitely come back.
We were seated right away, drinks within a couple minutes, soup right after the drinks, and food within 10 minutes. Very efficient service and everything we ordered was excellent. Servers were very friendly, and attentive. Plates were cleared almost immediately. Can say that we will definitely be back. This is an excellent sushi place!
*Been back multiple times now. Same experience every time!
