This is by far the best italian food I have ever had. We live in Raleigh and tried this place the last time we were in San Antonio 7 years ago. It left such an impression we had to track it down again this trip and it did not disappoint! Our server Philip was amazing! So attentive and engaging. And the food was even better than I remember. The trio crustini appetizer and the Shrimp Alejandra were incredible. I can’t wait for our next trip so we can experience it again!

Crystal is amazing. If you’re gonna come here ask for Crystal always! She is so sweet, her service is spectacular, and she knows so much about the drinks and the menu. she is amazing. However, the only reason I wouldn’t give it a 5 star was because of Mike. We did not have a reservation but still able to be sat, we were not greeted for another 10 minutes while Mike set up for a table that wasn’t even here yet for 5 of the 10 minutes when I finally went to ask for help that’s when he noticed we needed waters and said he would bring bread and never did. He only pays attention to the tables with automatics gratuity added. So avoid Mike at all costs and just ask for Crystal she is amazing and i’ve been here twice and she truly is the best at her job and the sweetest person. Thank you Crystal for being the reason I come back

The food here was absolutely delicious! I picked this spot for a dinner date, and we absolutely loved the food. Each plate looked like it was carefully made and presented. The dishes we had, which were: romano crusted chicken & the lemon pepper snapper were so fresh and delicious I’d definitely recommend them although I did prefer the snapper over the chicken.
The service was great as well. They’re attentive and really nice.
Next time I’m in town, I’ll definitely be stopping by again!

It was my big brother’s birthday. Actually we had two family members celebrating birthdays so I stopped by to ask if it was possible to make a reservation to eat in their wine room as it was a little more secluded and not so noisy. Several of our family members have issues with their hearing, so this was a problem at other restaurants. I wanted us to have an opportunity to talk to each other and enjoy each other‘s company and celebrate properly!
The chef was really very accommodating, and very kind even when we had to drop a couple of people off the reservation at the last minute – they were still so accommodating. It was quiet and the food, as always, is outstanding. I really don’t know why this restaurant is not mobbed.- ALWAYS!!
It’s a neighborhood area restaurant, it’s adorable. The food has always been outstanding, ever every time I have visited! I mean honestly, I don’t mind paying money for food when I can leave the restaurant and know that I have eaten a really, really great meal.
Do yourself a favor, stop by and show them some love – the food is poetry. The service is always attentive and friendly. You won’t be disappointed. Thank you Chef, for making our family birthday outing, memorable❤️

Absolutely delicious! Perfect portions and so much flavor. The table bread was amazing as we waited for our food and they had a wonderful wine selection. Our server was so kind and patient and gave me a good recommendation on the crab stuffed salmon pesto that was incredible! Highly recommend! Will be coming back!

The food couldn’t have been better. Wow, absolutely delicious Tortellini and Shrimp Alfredo (shrimp were cooked perfectly!)

My only issue was the service. Our server sat us and gave us menus. Then returned with water and oil with no bread. He then proceeded to sit at another table of 6 for about 15 min without even looking up or checking to see what was going on ( I assume it was friends of his). Another waiter had to come by and ask if we’d ordered and brought us bread. He noticed our server was in his own world at that table and took our order himself. Our server eventually came back with the food.

Although we thoroughly enjoyed the food, being ignored by our server basically ruined our outing experience. He’s lucky I didn’t have time to do a “custom tip” option due to our rush to catch a late movie.

Tonight was our first experience here. We were 2 couples that came for Culinaria. At $26 for Chicken Parmigiana, pricing was on par with a more upscale italian restaurant. The atmosphere seemed nice although the acoustics were not great so it was loud for an upscale setting.
We had the filet mignon with bacon wrapped shrimp and the romano crusted chicken with shrimp alejandra (highly recommended by reviews and server). We felt both were fair dishes although somewhat bland. Nothing exceptionally memorable here, but not bad. Average with above average pricing…
The real turn off here is the service (as mentioned in many other reviews). Our server was nice enough, but clearly had no formal training on how to serve at an upscale restaurant. She consistently reached across to serve food, provide utensils and refill drinks. She would ask of we needed anything when coming to the table. Twice we had to ask for drink refills. One time, she stopped to clear the table next to us (and shook the food off the cloth to place it back on the table) before refilling the drinks.
Lastly, (and the most disappointing) she came to collect payment with the handheld POS. She ran the card and stood over us as I filled out the tip portion. Literally, right next to me looking over my shoulder. Completely inappropriate.
Owners/managers take note. You have been given plenty of feedback over the past 6 months regarding your lacking service.
When couples spend $150 to eat out, they are looking at the total experience. Food, atmosphere and service. Feedback provided consistently reflects that service is the weakest link here. Invest in your people so they may provide the level of service that is consistent with the upscale image you are attempting to portray. The service provided tonight would have been expected at casual atmosphere such as a pizza parlor.
When you’re asking for a minimum of $50 tip (20% lowest recommended option) to serve a table of 4, service expectations tend to be higher than when dining at Pizza Hut.
Unfortunately, management has not set the standard for service here which has resulted in numerous poor reviews and fewer repeat customers.

Went there for a special dinner. Loved it, will be back! Seasonal cocktail and wine list were great, and the menu offered too many great choices to choose from. The champagne lobster tail (pic included) was a refreshing and new delicious experience. The execution followed through for sure.

Everything went well! Let’s me start with location, it is in one of the old nice areas of San Antonio, called Olmos Park, very neat.
Parking is not a problem and I love that.
We didn’t have a reservation and it was no problem, there were ya les available.
The staff is atto and they know very well their menu!
About the food, wow! It was terrific! From the bread to the main dish. I ordered Shrimp Alejandra and I was in love from the first bite, the shrimp has a light batter and it’s so crispy, the pasta has a pesto sauce that is to die for!
Wine selection is great as well!
Definitely Pesto is a little gem in the heart of Olmos Park.
My only observation is the bathroom, it could be better 🙂

Decided to try this restaurant on our last night in San Antonio. I would.gice this place a 3.75. the host at the door wasn’t very welcoming. The atmosphere wasn’t very inviting. With Italian food the sauce is so important. I feel like the sauce wasn’t fresh or home made. The calamari was chewy and hard and flavorless. I think this place has potential but portions are small and flavor is lacking. .
