I’m always on the search for dumplings, so seeing this local chain caught my attention. With a limited menu, I had high hopes that they’d hit on all items. While the flavors were decent, I’m relatively sure this is pretty standard frozen steam buns and dumplings from an Asian market marked up quite a lot.
The dumplings seem extremely similar to the Way Fong frozen dumplings (probably my favorite brand of frozen dumplings), except they’re deep fried and covered with a lot of sauce. The sauce and dumplings aren’t bad, but the sauce overpowers the nice flavor of the dumplings.
The steam buns are fine, but I think they’re reheating them in a microwave. What happens is the dough gets really tough/chewy within a minute or so once it’s out of the microwave.

The dumplings were good, but I felt like we were not welcome to eat there. We only got utensils for one person when there were clearly two of us. It really seemed like we were an inconvenience. It’s not somewhere I’d go out of my way to visit but if I’m around and need a snack I’d swing by for dumplings, but definitely get them to go.

Some of the best dumplings I’ve ever had. Visiting from out of state, reasonable priced. Cold noodles are amazing as well. not a huge meal, definitely a lite lunch. PAY ATTENTION TO THE SAUCE. if youre getting takeout, get the sauce on the side. sauce will spill everywhere. Will be returning probably more than once before we leave next week.

It will definitely fill you up. But, in my opinion, it’s something that I would not eat too often.
Yet, I have to restate it was good and the price was fair.

We had the mini fried dumplings and pork bread.
Not too salty unless you add the soy sauce.

So good!!! Highly recommend! I got the hot pork bun and the chicken curry.
I am a lover of both buns and curry, and this place smacked! Haha, legit the boss man hooked me up. I got my curry and one bun and it was so good that when I left, I had to get 2 more. Didn’t even know it at the time but he had given me 3 for the price of 2.
Very fast service too! I ordered, got my Pepsi out of the fridge, found an empty table and he was already calling me for my food.
Loved this place, will be back again if I’m in the area. You should go.

Great noodles and delicious dumplings! We were amazed at the tasty food and we tasted everything! The crepe type meal was flavorful and filling. The dumplings were delicious! Pleasant atmosphere and friendly staff. What’s not to like? Oh, the homeless man who wandered in. We just felt sorry for him.

A long time favorite in Charlottesville, the price has gone up over the years but still a delicious way to fill up for not much money. The fried dumplings are average, mass produced frozen dumplings. They are cooked and the fried to achieve that perfect crispiness. The sauce is the star. It is a combination of soy sauce, hoisin sauce and hot sauce. I have never been able to replicate it at home

Food, pricing, service and ambience were all to our satisfaction. The sour-and-spicy soup, in particular, tasted authentic. The cold noodles with apple slices was an interesting combination, and it actually worked. Overall, a good choice for food and the only issue was the restroom, which could use some tidying.

We went in around 5pm on Sunday, and ordered Sweet Sour Spicy Noodles ($4) & Fried Dumplings ($4). The order was ready in a few minutes, and was delicious!
I had never had apples mixed with noodles and I was pretty skeptical, but the sauce was delicious and the spicy soy sauce actually worked amazingly with the apple.
Next time I visit Charlottesville I will 100% be back!
