Now, this is how it’s done! Family owned, and you can tell. Fast and friendly service in a welcoming environment. We stopped in for breakfast this morning and found a seat in their second dining area without issue. The place was busy, but we didn’t feel rushed. Fantastic menu selection with something for everyone. My feta omelet and my wife’s skillet came out hot and were both delicious. We definitely will be back again. Also, the coffee was great

Don’t let your first glance scare you it turned out to be a pretty good hole in the wall place that has friendly service good food and a cinnamon roll to die for. came across this place by chance and was glad I did will definitely be back soon and give it a second look. But if you want a cinnamon roll go early they run out fast. The service was far and friendly our waitress took a moment to greet us and share a laugh.

Food was ok. Cinnamon rolls was good(4). Most breakfast meals were a 3-4. Biscuits and Gravy was a 1. No flavor. We will be back for another try. Everyone has an off day. Service was amazing. Very quick witted and funny.

For 45 years this place has been doing quality work. I lived in Lindenhurst for a few years from 1998-2001 and I always looked forward to this restaurant. I moved back to the area in 2025, and ate there again, and had a wonderful experience with the family that owns and runs it. This place is truly a staple, and it’s not just my nostalgia talking. This food is so good, service is top notch, and it has all the charm you could want out of a classic diner. Check them out, you will not be disappointed.

I’ve been dining at the Lake Villa Restaurant since I was a kid, and it has NEVER disappointed. In fact, it’s my favorite diner in Lake County! (and I really like diners…) The food is delicious and made with love, and the family who runs it are so kind and welcoming. More importantly: the pies and cinnamon rolls!! Holy moly they will knock your socks off. My favorites are the banana cream and peppermint (a holiday flavor)! Huge, HUGE fan over here… highly recommend if you’re in the area and looking for a great meal and a friendly vibe.

My wife and I came in here because we wanted to eat breakfast, and we were met with an exceptional experience.
We started at the post office, ended at this cute diner full as a stuffed pig. (Admittedly we did order quite a bit)
I had the French onion soup as well as a breakfast steak with three over easy eggs, hash browns and pumpkin pancakes…. My wife had a pick two combo, regular pancakes, and a half order of biscuits and gravy….
All I can say was wow, everything was cooked perfectly, so perfectly that I didn’t even get a chance to take pictures of our food.. we only got the cinnamon roll that we took home (it didn’t last long either)
Overall, if you are looking for a mom and pop diner in a beautiful downtown area you are not gonna find a better spot for food and sights.

Talk about truly knowing their customers….I changed my usual order. Felicia (who was not our server) quietly walked to our table to be sure our server did indeed hear correctly….which he did! Then up at the register, Mike (owner) asked how I enjoyed my breakfast ,as he specifically recited my usual order! Importantly our food was comforting, fresh and delicious! Remember to take a cinnamon roll home for later…..they are the BEST in the state! Please stay in business another 45 years!!
