Regular Chinese food spot. Food was a little freezer burned and can tell right away when you can’t chew the chicken but that’s how it goes sometimes. $30 bucks for Chinese food these days seems a little too high. It’s better to stay home and cook your own dinner.

I recently tried a chow fun dish that was a huge disappointment due to the absence of the signature flat rice noodles. Instead, the dish was made with thin vermicelli-like noodles, which completely altered the texture and flavor I expected. Chow fun should be hearty and chewy, but this version felt flimsy and lacked the satisfying bite. The sauce was decent, but it couldn’t compensate for the noodle mishap. If you’re craving authentic chow fun, be sure to check that they use the correct flat noodles, or you might end up with a subpar experience like I did

I find the food here to be very good! When this business came to town many of us were sad about its predecessor, Golden Moon, closing its doors after decades due to what I recall was the exorbitant rent/leasing terms and a change of hands regarding property management (please don’t quote me on that though). Incredibly- me being the foodie I am- I had not had the opportunity to try China City until just recently. I have tried their lomein, spare ribs, scallion pancakes, and shrimp fried rice and found it all to be delicious! My sis treated me to a takeout feast the other night and it was incredible! I haven’t had the chance to actually see the inside of this restaurant or eat in but based on the quality of the food I’ve devoured so far, I can say that I’m very pleased and eagerly await the next time I will inhale more China City goodness like a Hoover! Until then, my friends-in-food!

Becareful when you place an order online and pick it up or deliver. I placed an order on Friday, and it was a different amount that I got charged, and they won’t do anything they start giving you excuses. Also, the fry rice it’s a absolute joke, yellow rice, small diced onions, and very small diced meat that it. Come on, this is not Chinese food….

The prices for both the order online AND the printed menus are WAY less than they charge you. My email receipt was $28 and when I show up to pay they charge me $35. They said their prices are up and “they’re getting new menus” but I say why not fix the prices on the website? Pretty sure this is illegal, check your bill! Will not be back.
