First off, we were very excited to try this place. We love any place that looks like a hole-in-the-wall but pumps out amazing food and that’s what we thought we were getting, especially based on the pricing.

We were underwhelmed to say the least. While the views are absolutely stunning, and the freshness of the lobster is nothing to question, I just expected a lot more.

For the lobster to come right off the boat in front of you, I’d think the prices would be more reasonable since it’s so easily accessible. There were so many things on the menu that I wanted to try but my bill would’ve easily been $200 for a lunch for 2. Absolutely not. My wife and I each got a lobster roll and refused to order anything to drink because again, the prices were crazy. We got one side of fries because….well you get it. I got the traditional lobster roll and my wife got the lobster roll with butter. Now, I do love that these don’t come on a traditional roll, but instead they come like a burger or sloppy joe, on a bun. However, the bun could have at least been toasted. I thought my lobster roll was pretty good as far as the flavor of the lobster goes but there was zero seasoning so it was only just the right amount of mayo and lobster. My wife liked her roll except that the chunks of lobster were too big for her liking. It would have been better if it was shredded a bit more to get the butter in there. I personally thought her lobster tasted better than mine but with the buns literally just coming out of the pack and no seasoning, I just don’t understand the hype of a lobster roll.

We ate them because we were in Maine and that is what you do but I would never spend nearly $100 on 2 rolls and a side of fries ever again.

Was disappointed. The clams were fresh and sweet. The scallops were small and kind of rubbery. You get charged 5.00 more if you wanted a lobster roll on toasted bun with butter. If you wanted chips that was another 5.00?? 2 bottled blueberry sodas was 10.00
The lobster roll came on a hamburger bun, yikes. The views are beautiful and it’s a nice ride, but not sure if we’ll be returning.

Worth the drive to Surry Maine! The lobster (L) mac & cheese, L grilled cheese, and L cowboy burger were delicious. It’s BYOB, but the kids loved the blueberry lemonade.

I was stopped at the beach when I smelled the heavenly scent of french fries drift across the water. I heard the lively chatter of people as they sat at the most beautiful dock I’ve ever seen. I knew I had to go. I was greeted by the kind staff and served the most delicious surf and turf roll ever. Half steak and cheese, half lobster roll. The blueberry pie was homemade and tasted fresh. The view is stunning, definitely worth checking out

All of the food was fresh: lobsters, grilled cheese lobster sandwich, bisque, lobster Mac n cheese, cole slaw. The Mac n cheese has a great amount of lobster pieces in it, not enough cheese though. It really wasn’t cheesy at all. The set up for seating is cute & nice views of the water & beach. Nice to hear that they are rebuilding the dock again.
I’m really disappointed though to see such a large amount of the rubber bands from the lobster claws on the beach among the discarded shells.

Really nice lobster shack with wonderful views from the picnic tables on their pier. Hostess will seat you and table service is provided…very unusual for a lobster shack. Food was excellent, we had lobster rolls and onion rings. Only negative is price. $75 for two lobster rolls, onion rings to share, and soft drink to share is a bit pricey. Lobster roll is served on a hamburger bun and is a bit too much bread for our taste.

Great classic Maine lobster shack. All seating is outdoors right on the waterfront. We ate here 3 nights of our 6 day stay on this penninsula. Their soft-shell lobster and lobster bisque is fantastic! Blueberry pie was ok – just not what I would consider exceptional.
Their boiled lobster prices are very competitive. The bisque & pie were a bit overpriced imho, but I must say it had a fair amount of lobster in it & the blueberry pie was locally baked with wild Maine blueberries.
If I am ever in the area again I would certainly visit Perry’s.

The LOBSTERS here is the best!!! We tried the soft and hard shells type of lobster. The bread and corn was already included (you can make your own lobster roll).

The oysters, clams and clam chowder was authentic and very delicious.

The view is amazing and you can relax while you’re eating.
Your money is worth spending for.

An absolute hidden gem.

Off the beaten path in Surry, Me lies Perry’s lobster shack. It’s appearance is deceiving because it’s more than just a shack. Their food is top tier and the freshness scale is off the charts.

We were recommended this place from a local in Surry. We were not disappointed. There is a good amount of parking available. They are dog friendly which is fantastic. It is also BYOB so neutrally we packed the yeti!

Started off with the clams. The clams were the best I’ve ever had. They were fresh and steamed to perfection. Served with hot butter!

Then I moved on to the lobster roll! It was tasty and the best I’ve had in Maine. Loaded with fresh lobster meat.

For dessert we had the blueberry pie and ice cream. The pie was light and served warm. It has to be the best blueberry pie in Maine!

If you are staying in the Bar Harbor area and somehow stumbled across this place and we’re wondering if it was worth the trip, I’ll tell you that it is!

Attached a few pictures of our amazing view as well!

The prices were high in my opinion, but the quality of the food overcame my objection.

To have a lobster roll on an untoasted bulky roll is a terrible option… Putting it on a toasted hot dog bun would be a HUGE improvement, if that bun was buttered too you’d be looking at 5-stars from me…
