I miss the old restaurant. But good things first:
They give good portion sizes, they are very reasonably priced, the waitress was nice! The restaurant was clean and food was good.

The less good: Is it just me or is the tiny spicy chicken different? It was zero percent spicy today when we tried the newer location. It used to have a nice little bit of a kick and tons of flavor.

And the old location just had a more cozy and private feel that I miss. Please bring back the old tiny spicy!

I haven’t been to Logan in a few years and I wanted to eat here but they weren’t there on 400 N where they have been for over 35 years! I was sad cs they were so good! Then I found they had moved to 400 S. New updated restaurant. This is a pic of my lunch menu item. A lot of food for only $8!! Add a drink and tax and it’s only $11.50. Try their tiny spicy chicken. It’s the best. I wish they had a location in Salt Lake…..
If you visit Logan Utah get Aggie ice cream and Mandarin Garden – the best!!!

The food is usually great. My issue with this restaurant is the containers they use for takeout orders and door dash. A dish with liquid (curry) should be in a container with a sealed lid. 4/5 times that I’ve ordered the red curry on DoorDash all the curry sauce spills out of the container leaving me with just veggies and tofu.

We stopped on for lunch following a football game. I had a hard time finding it, because I was looking for the old building. I liked the charm of the old building, but the new one is nice and modern. The food was all amazing, I love that they have Tiny Spicy Chicken, most places do not now days in Utah. The kids and wife also loved the food! All the staff were top notch as well. Very polite and friendly service. We will stop in again when we visit Logan.

Emma is the best thing since sliced bread and chopsticks. She connected with us, made us feel like the only people at the restaurant with the quality of service. Friendly, funny, and personable. 25% which I never do. One of the best servers. Give her a raise

The plan was Panda Express. But the plan is Always Panda.. So we wanted to find something different and hopefully Better. Which we were shocked to see that we had found exactly that at the Mandarin Garden. The menu size is massive. The food was freaking great. And our server was super helpful, i wish i remembered her name. But it was somewhat confusing on how exactly to order our food. And she was very quick and willing to walk us through the menu. I’m pretty positive we won’t be going back to Panda Express anymore lol… Oh shit, Also and most importantly, we spent Less money than we would at Panda and we got Much larger portions of food.

Tasty Cuisine, but Service and Seating Confusion

Rating: 3.5 out of 5 stars

During a recent visit to a Chinese restaurant, my experience was a mix of highs and lows. While the food itself was delicious and served promptly, there were a few aspects that left something to be desired.

Upon entering the restaurant, the first challenge we encountered was the lack of clarity regarding seating arrangements. The presence of a long line extending to the door created confusion as it turned out to be for online orders rather than for dine-in customers. There was no clear direction or communication from the staff to guide us on whether to wait in line, wait to be seated, or seat ourselves. This lack of organization resulted in a somewhat chaotic and disorienting start to our dining experience.

One particular disappointment was the limited availability of wonton soup. I was informed that it was only served in the mornings, which was unexpected. I was it left us longing for a dish that we had been looking forward to enjoying.

Despite these initial setbacks, the quality of the food itself was commendable. The dishes we ordered were prepared fresh, steaming hot, and bursting with flavor. The flavors were authentic and well-balanced, leaving us satisfied and appreciative of the culinary expertise demonstrated in the kitchen.

On the downside, the service from our waitress was lacking. She never checked on us or inquired about our dining experience, which left us feeling neglected. Additionally, refills were not offered.

In conclusion, while the food at this Chinese restaurant was undoubtedly delicious and served with great care, there were notable areas for improvement. The confusion surrounding seating arrangements upon arrival and the limited availability of certain dishes, like the wonton soup, were disappointing. Furthermore, the lack of attentiveness from the waitress, along with the absence of refills, impacted the overall dining experience. Despite these drawbacks, the flavors of the food were exceptional, which may warrant a visit for those seeking a tasty Chinese meal.

I don’t know if it was because I had my expectations high because of the old place but this place was not that great. Not bad, just sort of middle of the road. The egg rolls were pretty good but that was about it. Not a lot of seating, pretty busy but they were quick and got us through fairly fast.

Great place for Chinese food. This was one of my husband’s favorite places to eat when growing up, so we always to stop and eat some tiny spicy chicken when we are in town. We would recommend!
