Really good smash burger with properly crispy edges- the green chili burger. I upgraded to the superbly seasoned fries and fry sauce. With a draft Mexican lager, a great experience. Sitting outside was nice this evening. I waited about a half hour to get my food, and it was entirely worth it!

Happened into this place when my daughter had a performance at the Pioneer Center and my husband and I needed a quick bite to eat. It has a very relaxed and unique atmosphere. We had the Royce Burger and it was an outstanding burger. Nothing too out of the box, but definitely done right. We also shared cheese curds which were fried to crispy deliciousness. The inside is small and intimate with cool couches. They do also have an outdoor seating area. Next time we go, we plan to stay longer. I highly recommend checking this place out if you are in the area.

Went with a couple friends on a Sunday for lunch and sat in the back since the front bar area was full. They said it was a 30 minute wait for food and it came out a little sooner, but it was expected for a Sunday at 1:30pm. Great burger with shoestring fries. I got the Frenchified burger and it was delicious. The garlic aioli dip for the fries was . Everything was cooked great and my friends loved their burgers too. Shishito peppers were good too. They have self serve water in an igloo but also a full bar and decent beer selection. My burgers and fries were $21 before tip. Parking is on the street on a meter but some days are free. Very clean, maintained and has good vibes.

Anyways, on to my review: The atmosphere of the place is what draws you in. I was thinking about how to describe it, and it’s just cool! Small, focus on the bar on the inside. Comfortable stool-seated patio seating, too, which we chose. The music playing was awesome, too. Not your usual “hit of every year” playing, but a unique soundtrack of lesser-known r&b. Friendly staff and great food & prices. My wife had the royce burger, and I had the bbq burger. Both had two patties each and tasted just great. Well seasoned and very juicy burgers. Fries are really amazing. Try them, you must. . We also got the rib appetizers. They’re pork belly and really…REALLY awesome. My wife had a drink called the Royce Refresher. I don’t drink, but she said it too was really….REALLY awesome. Anyways, thanks for the great experience for us out-of-towners!

My partner and I walked in and just immediately felt the “dirtiness” of the bar. Yeah it’s a bar, but that already tells you something about the food.. atmosphere was muggy and no ventilation for fresh air to flow through. Bartender for some reason was not in a good mood. Very slow service despite only tending to 3 others. Walls wreaked of grease. Staff were incompetent to take food orders. The food made us sick! When my partner and I went back to our rental, we immediately felt sick and had stomach issues for days. The drinks weren’t even that great! Sanitation is a must here..

I really enjoyed the burger here.However, I wish the patties were a little bit thicker. Next time I go I will ask for a double and then it will be perfect. They had a really good beer selection, and their cocktails were really good. Kind of a cool location downtown in an old house.
