Ordered through DoorDash and waited over 2 hours for my food. The okra stew was disgusting — extremely oily, cold, and full of random nasty meats and fish that did not belong together. The taste and smell were completely off-putting.
The fufu was watery, powdery, and brown, clearly not fully cooked or properly prepared. It had an unpleasant texture and was completely inedible.
The rice was overly salty, making it hard to eat. I spent $40 on food that went straight into the trash. I have picture proof of everything.
This was a terrible experience, and I do not recommend ordering from AJ’s Restaurant. The TikTok reviews were accurate.

I was very happy to find out that there’s a new Senegalese restaurant in Baltimore and AJ’s is great! We had the Thiebou Dienn (Jollof Rice & Fish) and the Dibi Lamb dishes which were delicious and plentiful! I highly recommend their Senegalese food! (Please note, there are no tables to eat at inside. It is best to carryout or have the food delivered from this location).

I was very surprised by how delicious the Dibi Lamb was! The flavors were amazing! I was looking for Dibi Chicken and the Baobab drink (Bouye). The only other places I could get Senegalese food was in Silver Spring or driving way across Baltimore. This location was close and their food was WAY better….OMG! The red onion sauce was spicy I loved it! There is something about that Mustard sauce. Walahi you can eat a sneaker with that sauce!
The Dibi Lamb portion was excellent !
The owner was very professional and kind and helpful. I found a new place for my Baobob fruit drink addiction!!

Had the pleasure of trying AJ’s and the food was absolutely delicious!!! Ordered Theibou Dienn (to die for), plantains were some of the best I’ve ever had, and the Thai chili wings were a hit, my son loved them! Will be going again and again. Service was A++.
