Had a genuinely excellent experience at Yamas Mediterranean Street Food, and it is easy to see why it has developed such a strong local reputation. From the moment I walked in, the atmosphere felt relaxed and welcoming without trying too hard. The space is clean, bright, and comfortably modern, with just enough personality to feel inviting whether you are stopping in for a quick lunch or settling in for a longer meal.
The food is the clear standout. Everything I tried tasted fresh, thoughtfully prepared, and properly seasoned. The tzatziki had a cool, bright flavor with noticeable cucumber and garlic, and it complemented the meat instead of getting lost in the background. . The vegetables were crisp and fresh, the rice was fluffy and properly cooked, and the overall portions were generous without feeling excessive. Service was friendly and efficient. The staff came across as genuinely helpful and patient even though I took forever to decide what I wanted to try, because (and I mean this) everything looked and smelled delicious.

amas is a hidden gem in Winston! I did the build-your-own bowl and went with the braised pomegranate lamb — absolutely unreal. The flavors were rich, perfectly balanced, and everything tasted super fresh. You can tell they put care into every ingredient. The vibe inside was welcoming, and the staff were helpful and upbeat. It’s hard to find places that hit both quality and flavor this well. Definitely coming back soon. If you haven’t tried Yamas yet, you’re missing out.

First of all, I loved the decor and atmosphere. Super pretty, pleasant and with great images, leatherette chairs, super comfortable and a beautiful outdoor area to enjoy on hot days.
Another highlight: they have beautiful china bowls and real forks. No plastic, cardboard bowls or fast food style. I honestly understand the practicality of some places, but eating with a plastic plate and forks ruins the experience of the place. For that alone, this place got 100 points!
Now the bowls were spectacular: fresh and healthy ingredients, totally in line with the place and DELICIOUS! In addition to having a super cool and beautiful presentation. Our recommendation is the pomegranate braised lamb salad and freekelicious kofta bowl.

Yamas Mediterranean, you’re so close to perfection! The staff were nice, the flavors in the Kofta Bowl were amazing, but the kofta itself was a bit overcooked (Burned) Freekeh and sauces were on point, though! Would recommend if they tweaked the cooking time 3/5 stars

Incredible selection of amazing fresh food. If I had the money I’d build one in my home town so I could eat here daily, it was that good. The folks that took care of us were super friendly and seemed to really take pride in their work.

When you walk in you seat yourself then when ready you go to order! It is kinda like chipotle style ordering where you walk and choose what you want!
My wife and I went there for lunch the place looked nice and modern. I took a bowl which came with a lot of options, by the time I got done the bowl was full with mainly vegetables but it was very tasty!
My wife chose the pita sandwich which it did not come with a lot of options!
They have a variety of drinks and is refillable!
The staff was friendly as well!
They don’t have shawarma they have beef gyro!
It is wheelchair accessible and they have a highchair for kids too!
Depending what you get, I felt it was a bit pricey, but worth the try! It is definitely a vegetarian friendly place!

The Pomegranate Braised Lamb Salad with pita is fantastic. The lamb was cooked just right with the perfect flavor and texture.
Got it “as is” with extra toppings to boot. Great drinks and fountain drink selections too.

First time visiting North Carolina and googled best clean eating establishments. This beautiful space popped up. From the interior to the service and tasty food I was in awe. Welcoming sleek decor and fresh clean ingredients were used to prepare my salad bowl. They literally have something for everyone. I knew by the long line I was in the right place. I ordered takeout but didn’t even leave the parking lot. I was left wanting more. Will be back!
