1. curry was a little too watery for my taste. more onions would have been better
The second photo is the mango chicken and the other is the Butter chicken.
The chicken Vindaloo was like a watery tomato broth. I have had Vindaloo so many times and it has never tasted like this. The lamb dish was all right. Butter chicken was better than the rest of the curries we ordered . The Thali had dhal curry which was dhal in water basically.
The only good item we tried from the menu was the Chai tea. Maybe the menu items are a hit and miss, but the items we tried were not satisfying.
From the restaurant we had a one hour drive to our Airbnb and me and my husband both got stomach aches and had to badly use the washroom during the drive.
If you are not from the area and visiting, don’t waste your money here.
The food was delicious, I wish I could have eaten more! We will be back whenever we’re in the area.
The garlic naan we ordered was never brought to the table and the server never came back once.
Reading other recent reviews and the unprofessional owner replies, we definitely will not be returning.
It’s a shame the owner, rather than being open to constructive criticism and improving, is more interested in insulting customers in Hindi (which we can all tap to translate to English).
Had very quick service and lovely server.
One Saturday we made the drive for lunch. We went in, sat down, and waited a few moments before the server came over. We said we wanted to go with the lunch buffet. At that point the server said they didn’t do the lunch buffet except on Sundays. It wasn’t 100% clear why, but the menus on the outside windows as well as in the table menu both said “lunch buffet, Tuesday – Sunday”.
We decided we’d give it a try and order off the menu. I had the lamb rogan josh and my wife had the tandoori chicken with a side of the cheese naan. The naan was quite nice. Fluffy and flavorful. The lamb rogan josh was ok. I went medium spicy, which was a good choice. The sauce was quite thin and the lamb was in very small pieces. Definitely a lot more sauce than meat.
The tandoori chicken smelled lovely on the hot plate. A decent amount of chicken, though the seasoning also seems to be lacking a little.
We probably wouldn’t go out of our way, though I’m curious to see how the buffet is.
There are so many different options for everything you might want. The spiciness was perfect, I got light spice, another had hot, and another medium. All of us felt happy about our heat levels.
The naan was fresh and delicious!
We want to come back next time for sure! Worth it!
