I love this little place—charming back patio, great menu with fresh spring rolls, banh mi, etc., and the best boba, smoothies and slushies. My kids love the passion fruit smoothie/slushie. It’s clean, quiet and nice staff. What more can you ask for?

I come here often, and I believe the owner wasn’t working today. A lady named Jocelyn helped me. I ordered a Taro boba smoothie with a Rocky Road float, but when I received my drink, it was a milk tea with Rocky Road.
I asked Jocelyn why my drink was milk tea instead of the smoothie, since in the past my order has always been served as a smoothie. I was disappointed when she told me that if I wanted it remade as a smoothie, I would need to pay full price again — even though I wasn’t asked if I wanted a milk tea or smoothie base this time.
As a regular customer, I thought it would be made the same way as before, so this was confusing and frustrating. I rarely, if ever, complain, and this was the first time I spoke up. I would have appreciated a little flexibility or understanding in this situation. I didn’t feel like my loyalty as a customer was considered, and I left feeling a bit disappointed with the experience.

pork banh mi had a very smoky flavor, too much so. Either too much lighter fluid, didn’t wait for the charcoal to heat up all the way, or too much liquid smoke. burnt smoke flavor gross. toasted bread cuts the roof of mouth.
really want to enjoy the banh mi but every dish should be treated with the highest expectations. this was disappointing. there’s is a gross taste left in my mouth and my fingers smell of the smoke.
thought about trying other items on the menu since there’s so many, but i don’t want another offensive flavor in my mouth.

Honestly, this was so very disappointing and made me cry.. I drove 40m one way to get this food, ordered it there in person, she literally repeated back to me 4x exactly what I wanted thus seeming she understood clearly the 3 things im ordering.. her English is better than mine lol, I wanted 2 orders of the chicken spring rolls, 1 Pork banh mi sammich, and 1 jumbo smoothie w bobaballs. She advertised and sold me on their “Peruvian pork” banhmi so I ordered that instead of the grilled pork. It was never supposed to be chkn. She described it came w cilantro, carrots, onions, all the good stuff. I said yes please and thank you! And tipped them 11$ before even getting the food (an often regret tbh). 10mins. later food comes out, and its wrong. Lol she gave me the exact opposite (how?) of what I ordered, and she confirmed.. I didnt know what their “Peruvian pork” was supposed to look like so when I checked the food it looked alright.. from the outside. I should’ve opened that sammich right then too! Another mistake on my part..never leave wo checking the togo food! ppl just dont care to do things right. But still expect payment before their food arrives. I got home, and realized the sammich was actually JUST normal looking chicken (unseasoned?) and bread. That’s it. The “sOo many onions + cilantro” she warned me 2x about was probably still in their kitchen!..Lol.. or maybe didn’t even exist‽ Banh-mi’s usually come w onions and carrots! But mine didnt. Why? I really idk why she thought me saying “as many veggies as possible Please” meant zero veggies to her?‽ How?! We she confirmed my order soo many times back to me! she put it in the computer too! I cant help but laugh at this incompetence tbh.. laugh and cry..
Yes. I cried. I spent 70$ including tip on 3! things that had ONLY chicken when we spike mostly about pork!! *chkn was dry afand bland, both in the 2 rolls and the sammich. ZERO PORK. Where is it‽! I wish I could’ve driven back and returned it all.. but they were closed for the night..
‼️ just Crazy, insane in fact to think this place just stole 70 bucks from me by NOT providing me w what I ordered and PAID them MY MONEY for. Selling inedible/dry+bland and incorrect food thus making the food go to the trash and thus im left 70$ short and still hungry ?! and they get to keep my money‽ for the kaka they claimed was “Peruvian” food ?! That was nothing Peruvian-like. shame on yall for that alone. Its quite an inappropriate way to do business, dont you think? Its genuinely so disappointing and saddening to think about my hard earned money went to yall who claim/advertise one thing but provide a completely different thing 🙁
I didnt think to take pictures of the food bc I was so upset, and i just knew there was nothing to be done to fix it that night bc yall were already closed. But if yall actually wanted to do the right thing and to fix this, I would appreciate it so much! There are a few ways yall can fix this for me …for what i paid for but never got! For spending so much money to get nothing in return from you! That was my allocated “food money”. Twas meant to feed me ; not the trashbin.

Lessons: *Read and believe all the similar-reviews the place has had for yearsss. *Check the food inside bag, check the ingredients in the sammich roll smoothie etc, cut it open if need be, and all around. *Triple-Check the receipt and final amount. ** ive learnt you actually CAN tip AFTER getting the food, if wanted to **

The service was pretty quick. I got the passion fruit green tea and it’s perfect. I also ordered the teriyaki chicken bowl, and it tastes like fresh, quality meat, and the volume was a lot for the price. They have a pretty wide selection of both food and drinks – you could easily get lunch here. I recommend this place if you’re in the area!

Food is great from what I’ve tried, sometimes the wait can take a while. Service is hit or miss, but usually good. The menu set up is kind of confusing, but the boba drinks and the burrito wraps are my go to!
